Roos said he had to restrain the 4 interchange players from running on they were so excited.
You can see on the TV coverage that they were itching to get on. It looks like ROK was almost on the move before he remembered he couldn't!

So glad it finally happened this weekend. After he strolled in to "kick the goal" moments after the siren went at 3/4 time, we were wondering if there were any more ways a player could find to not kick a goal.

An ancillary benefit for me was that the group of 5 Hawthorn tossers sitting behind me decided that was the signal for them to finally call it a day. Boy were they painful!

It was fantastic to see it finally click watching it last night on Fox at 10:30pm. It's really pleasing to see both the youngsters & seniors all gel together and I'll be sitting up front behind the goals spurring the boys on when we dish it up to Dockers this week.

best win this year, probably best win the in the last 2 years. Would like to see us play that way away from the scg. Highlight has to be jettas goal, will it be the next toyota ad? Pity kellie underwood called it.

Does anyone have the radio commentary of Jetta's goal for download? - I think both MMM Sydney (Luffy?) and ABC were calling the game. There's got to be something better than the Channel 10 drivel...

Couldn't agree more with the comment about Katie, or is that Kathy, no its Kellie Underwood commentating! The most monotone, dull & incorrect commentator there is with exra Matthew Lloyd drabness thrown in makes a magical moment that little bit less SPECIAL!

I agree! listen to the sen commentary of Jetta's goal .....and points......they really played it up all day. It was almost bigger than Plugger's record breaking goal...

Though of course for all-time "make myself bawl anytime anywhere" moments, all I have to do is conjure Roos bellowing "here it is" and I am a blubbering mess.
I know what you mean. I had a tear in the eye after Jettas goal and I only have to start thinking about the '05 GF to start the emotion bubbling up again.
Great win yesterday. Team effort. Not one bad player out there and being in the crowd to see Jetta's 1st goal just topped it off. The only thing that could have made Jettas goal any more special is if he had kicked it at the opposite end where I was sitting with the Swans CS.

We'd be in the 4 or knocking on the door of it, no doubt.

I can't wait for the next Jets' Journal entry where the man himself talks us through it!

Tremendous effort by the whole team. Was so very pleased. First game i think for about three years where I was able to watch it (barring perhaps richmond earlier this year) in a state of beatitude.

if we can just snag one of freo and the bulldogs (and I think either is quite possible but i'm confident of neither) and jag carlton in the first final...

Wasn't that fun? Can't remember such a feel-good do-high-fives-with-complete-strangers moment at the SCG since Q4 of the Cats semi. Just a blast.

A lot of the team answered their critics in spades. And what a treat to see ROK kicking left-footed and dominating Hodge.

I see a performance like that from Jack and I think the sky is the limit for that boy - could be our premier mid-fielder in a few years time.

What a fun game. I almost didn't go, just seemed like too much work to get the niece and nephew organised, get in there etc etc. I had a feeling that this could be a good game though and was very happy that I made the journey in! Jetta's goal was just so fun! I can't remember a moment like that since the GF, and the other games that others have mentioned. Just a happy, feel-good moment. Mind you, glad I'm not further along or the baby might have made an early arrival with all my jumping around and carrying on. Brought tears to my eyes. I'm looking forward to the next few weeks now
