You got shares in ANZ ? This is your third post saying the same thing. I was at the North/Swans final..it pissed down, was freezing and we won!. Everyone cheered the whole game cos it was the only way to keep warm. Plenty , apart from me, were delighted to take the option to drop the games at the concrete canyon..how do you beat the atmosphere at the SCG today??? Can't!

Always has and always will be.

Sydney had the chance to build a brilliant stadium but chose build that piece of crap.
..And the Swans are the Premiers...The Ultimate Team...The Ultimate Warriors. They have overcome the highly fancied Hawks in brilliant style. Sydney the 2012 Premiers - Gerard Whately ABC

Hmm, I thought I was far from alone in cheering that night to support my club. Perhaps I'm wrong because as you say, everyone was cheering just for the sake of keeping warm.

Meanwhile, good on ya with your SCG only membership. Personally, I don't think supporters who only purchase memberships to attend select home games in Sydney should have access to finals tickets before those that purchase an 11 game membership. But that's just my opinion. Minority opinion around these parts and at club level I'm thinking too. Oh well so be it. Back on topic, todays game was great. Fingers crossed that we can beat the Dockers next week before being back at the SCG for the Bulldogs game and tribute to Roos and Kirk. Finals here we come. (fingers crossed)

Well done Kirky, the old fella still has a bit left in the tank, one of his games best for the year.

If Stadium Australia is that good why wouldn't the AFL just play GWS full time there instead of spending a motza in redoing the showground?

Surely you're not serious with that question.

It was very beautiful icing after a wonderful effort by the boys. Not only the first half but when the Hawks challenged us we delved deep to fend them off and were able to steady and win comfortably. Clearly the most enjoyable game this year.

Was there atmosphere at ANZ in the 2003 Preliminary final, Mugpies 70,000 crowd game, Freo prelim final in 2006?

You can't blame the ground for the atmosphere. I've been to the SCG many times when there has been no atmosphere either.

Hint: Has to do with the size of the ground and the size of the crowd.

We should be grateful that we have a venue that can host 75,000. SCG CAN'T do that.

I agree with that list although for sheer excitement I'd put Locket's point at 3 and the 05 PF at 4, have Locket's record breaking goal at 5 and Jetta at 6.

Fair call. I think the win at Subi in 2006 Qualifying Final might also relegate today further down the top 10.

Yep. gotta agree with that too. And then there's the 2003 final against Port.

Maybe we can restrict the list to home ground experiences?

Maybe 2003 Qualifying Final (v. Port) at Footy Park in Adelaide should also get a mention in Top 10?
