OK, I'll accept that. Its often hard to notice a good tagging performance watching it on TV.

I had a fractured skull when I was young (car accident). It can sound worse than it is although I'm sure it would end his season.

I gave up on the commentary in the first quarter as they were not calling the game, just fluffing around like old tarts, and switched on Snapper and Luffy instead; call was about 2 seconds faster than vision, but that was just fine. Luffy was not pleased with Hanners.......apparently his kicking is 50%, but I could see all these little dart hand balls, and thought "that will do me"..... nice call in comparison with the tv though.

We won, we won, we won, we won.....we won. we won....

Sorry Liz, but.... What??? Please tell me you were listening to radio. Did you miss the part where one of the commentators actually sang part of the efin Fremantle song????? It was like having an opposition fan sitting behind me at a game.

Fabulous win by the team- our gutsiest of the season. Hanners is an absolute gun (Kicking though does need work) and Mummy the trade of the season. What an effort to go over there and get the 4 points. We are doing everything we can to get a home final, and I think whatever happens from now on itll be hard to be disappointed with the season overall, as its clear we are making very decent steps towards marching back up the ladder!

And just look at where all the other premiers from 2000 to 2006 are sitting on the ladder. Our generational turnaround has been very good so far.

I have partially recovered after a visit from Dr D Murphy. I haven't felt that stressed during a game for a few years now. Even the Hawthorn loss earlier in the year wasn't an issue. The importance of a win today was huge. As my son said, we beat Hawks and now Freo, beating teams that beat us earlier in the year. That also covers losses to Tigers and Demons now.

I thought Hannebury had a bad game until I saw the amount of football he got. On TV everytime he touched the ball seemed to result in a clanger.

I thought we lost the game after being up 10 points and that forward movement broke down and they rebounded with 2 goals. I went upstairs with 2 minutes to go because I couldn't watch and it was my son yelling that the Swans scored that brought me back to the game. I HATE GAMES LIKE THAT!!!!!!! Only if we lose but you don't know at the time.

Jesse dropped the marks but he did do quite alot to set up other goals and 2nd efforts. Jetta's 2nd goal was better than the first.

O'Keefe made up at the end but what happened today. Was he tagging? Man flu?

The run down to the finals:

Freo: Hawks in Tassie; Carlton at Subi.
Carlton: Geelong at ES; Freo at Subi.
Hawks: Demons; Freo in Tassie; Collingwood.
Norf: St Kilda; West Coast at Subi; Melbourne.

So looking at what is to come, we are a good chance to get a home final. If we only can beat the Dogs............... Best win of the year today.

That team today reminded me of 2004. We know what came next

What a surreal afternoon. After about 10 minutes at the start where no-one was scoring as we blanketed them but didn't know how to get it to a forward I gave up on the TV commentary. It was atrocious - I was trying to remember when Jacovich played for the Dockers - or was it just a WA secessionist call? So I switched on 2MMM. Luffy and the boys are like soothsayers - every movement they predicted came true about 10 seconds later. Made the whole game quite relaxing I thought but my partner decided she couldn't cope with the tension and went for a looong walk. Came back with 10 minutes to go and couldn't work out who the maniac in front of the TV was. A joyous sense of relief when Jesse came good, then the boys iced the clock and ROK iced the cake.

Happy, happy day. Looking at the Doggies scoreline right now it looks like they might be joining us in the not-bad-teams-who-won't-win-the-grand-final stakes. It could be a more exciting game at the SCG than I expected. We will miss Ben McG if he's out though - what a terrier. I thought Kennedy should also be in the list of good pick ups today. Not flashy but doing his bit. Mummy and Ben are great and Hanners and Jack look set to become elite. Before he retires Goodes has to learn how to break a tag. Judd and Ablett can so he should be able to too.

Where did you hear that?. AFL website is saying fractured eye socket. Which doesn't sound as bad but probably both season ending. He should be right for the Grand Final though.
