Someone earlier on was questioning the commentators who said that Sydney should have won by a lot more. When you look at the stats you would have to agree that they should have (dominance in hitouts and clearances etc. .. Why do you think they did not do to Freo the same as they did to the Hawks? I think the difference was Adam Goodes and ROK, who had great games v the Hawks. Freo obviously had done their homework and Adam was tagged out of the game and ROK who did a great job last week tagging Holdge but having an impact himself, must have been kept away from where the ball was. Hodge led him to the ball. I don't even know who ROK was tagging but my guess is that whoever it was, they led him away from the ball. I suppose if that was the case you would have to give the Freo plan and execution a tick. Great that Mummy and Jack stepped up.

Hanners is going to have me laughing for years to come I think. Just rewatched the game, and the interview afterwards. He is letting the side down. There was not an Umm or Aah mentioned. Nor a Yeah. and I don't think a "so its good" made an entry, perhaps once....... What is going on!!

People see what they want to see, I thought he had to do a fair bit of work and show some footy smarts to get that goal.

I think White had 2 touches to half time and then 8 in the second half, 8 isn't staggering but not bad for a big forward at Subi in a half of football. I thought he lifted in the second half and after a poor start could certainly hold his head up, not just because of that goal.
I knew him as a gentle young man, I cannot say for sure the reasons for his decline
We watched him fade before our very eyes, and years before his time

I thought Jacko was disgraceful but he always is in games involving the Dockers or Eagles. Every comment he made was about Fremantle. No issue with Pickering or Campbell.

Our problem is our forward line. Probably the weak link for us at the moment. White needs another marking option up there to help him out. We smashed them in the middle and in inside 50's, but they were a lot more efficient with thier I50'S.

                    According to these stats http://www.prowess.com.au/pro-stats/...report_154.pdf

We won clearances 44-28, 20-6 from centre bounces yet Freo scored goals from 6 stoppages while we only had 3.

Just wish and hope that we get Bradshaw back soon.

I was at the game with my son and I tell you it was the best turn out for supporters in a long time. The cheers from the Swans crowd was deafening. We Swannies in the West are a passionate bunch. It was a bloody great game.

Lewis Jetta`s mum and relatives were sitting about 4 rows in front of us and when Lewi was running in for that goal (even before he kicked it) the whole red and white army were on their feet just screaming.

I suspect the ground size difference had some effect. The Swans are very comfortable playing at the SCG because they know how to bring the ball into the forward 50 with purpose. Similarly, the Dockers' game plan is built around playing Subiaco well. Roos commented after the game that one of his messages at half time was that too many of the forward 50 entries were too shallow, and that things improved a bit after half-time when they started trying to get the entries a little deeper.

All throughout the game, we butchered plenty of entries where it looked like we had plenty of time and space but couldn't get the ball to a player to have a shot.

Kudos to the umps btw - I thought Freo were pretty good but one thing that pissed me off were the players constantly throwing themselves forward at the slightest constant. At Subi, with the crowd baying for blood, many umps will cave in to the home town free, but these guys did an excellent job ignoring the continuous jeers. At one moment, you could hear the ump saying to Roger Hayden "Nah mate you don't get a free for throwing your head back". Beautiful! Now, those couple of soft 50s that cost us a couple of goals are another matter...

Finally, got the courage to watch the second half being fairly confident of the result - it was a gutsy win after a wasted first half. Yes, Jess appears to have Barry's Rubber Chest Syndrome but I saw about half a dozen dropped chest marks from Swans and he did do many good things to go with his many crap things. Great job by Jude on Pav after half time, wouldn't have picked that match up! Jack and Hanners will be in my dreams thru a long off season!

Fair comment. He was better in the second half. We still need a lot more from a KP forward than he gives.
