Daniel Bradshaw: Surgery or 2010 Finals Bound?

Sydney Swans website has updated it's injury list today, Bradshaw has been put down as 'test' and Roosy mentioned he would most likely play reserves this week, if all goes to plan we'll see the gun forward back for the first week of the finals. I do hope he returns for finals as he brings so much to the team, we have seen what he's capable of and could be the X factor.

LRT seems to be a worry, listed as 2-3 weeks when he was previously listed as 1 week so there seems to be a setback, Richards is going to really have to make a stand.

McGlynn and Mumford stand at 1-2 weeks, both 50/50 for week 1 of the finals.

Hmmm, not sure about McGlynn. I've referred to this in another thread but I'll repeat here. I was talking to JF on Saturday when Ben walked past with his partner. I raced over to him and asked him how he was. His face is still swollen and eyes blackened. I was at Subi and had a clear view of the incident. I gave him my commiserations on his injury but congratulated him on the courage he showed with his attack on the ball even though I thought it was a bit kamikaze!
I asked him about the prospects of playing in a few weeks and he said NO. Maybe he wasn't thinking beyond two finals but I wonder what the answer would be if there was a P/F or G/F in the offing. Still, don't underestimate the extent of the injury: it will need time to heal. Perhaps he might be OK deep in September. I'll keep my fingers crossed for him.

I sadly agree; I doubt we'll see McGlynn again this season. But here's hoping we do get Braddie back and firing on all pistons for a nice finish to season 2010 (and a better dent in the finals than anticipated).

mcglyn hopefully week 1 or week 2 of the finals (depending on how far we go)

braddy will be back week 1 of finals.

mummy 2-3 weeks so you're looking at week 1 finals as well.

LRT - BOLTON - Seaby - season ending injuries.
Dan Hannebery you absolute beauuuuutiie ~ :D;)

I don't think many on here had forgotten about him!
If I wasn't going to Brissie for the game this weekend I think I'd be taking a leisurely drive down the Hume. Can't wait to see him out in the red and white again.

"I wouldn't underestimate Daniel's importance, as we saw early in the season," Roos said when asked if he'd be concerned at changing a winning forward structure"

What a @@@@ question to ask, he's not going to sit on the side-line if he's fit. geez

                      On Ben
If a more couragous thing can happen on a footy field than his effore, then i haven't seen it's equal. Not only that, he was just in superb form and frankly we are 3 goals better with him on the park. He might be able to borrow the Burgoyne headgear!

                      On Braddy
I hope he finds touch in the ressies because he can be a bit rusty as we saw in the first game or so of the season. We need him to make an impact from the get-go because he will no doubt displace a man who is up and running and prob in pokay form too.

Bradshaw will slot straight back in, remember this isn't him coming into a team he has never played with before, like it was at the beginning of the season.

Fingers crossed he gets through the reserves nicely as we definitely need him for the first final. White isn't capable of kicking a big bag and it's vital to have a key forward who can make a massive impact on a final.
