Yeah I really want it to be good news. You can only go on body language, and I trust my own eyes more than Facebook. He looked to be moving OK in the first half. but wasn't really leaving his man, that being said Belconnen were pretty much controlling the game."We talked five times. I called him twice, and he called me twice."   :D

Meh. It was always a do-or-die situation, and clearly his knee isn't up to it. No matter, we're doing well enough without him. What he probably really needs, and has needed all year, is a full-on surgery, not just the "tidying-up of cartilage" which he has had so far this year. All the surgery he has had this year has been with the short term in mind, basically just doing his knee up so he can get out and clunk a few marks. While an admirable goal and appropriate in the middle of a season, it hasn't come off. Now that the season is coming to an end, send him in for an op that's a bit more comprehensive, a bit more long-term, and hopefully we'll see a fit and firing Braddy next year.Officially on the Reid and Sumner bandwagon!Comment

And nothing on the Swans website yet. While I don't doubt the possibility, I'll keep my hopes up until tomorrow, when I assume there will be some sort of official word from the club.Comment

In the article bradshaw himself has been quoted regarding his knee, so that clarifies it for me....he's gone and I highly doubt he will play again. We took a punt, got him for nothing and it hasnt paid off unfortuneately....we are fine without him anyway.Comment

D'oh. This makes me sad. But in some ways, his being out after we'd thought he was going to be our new anchor was good - it made room for a lot of innovation and trying out new players & tactics (look, I'm trying to find positives). I hope he's not gone though - by all accounts a nice guy, and I'd love to see him play well for us a bit more before he goes off into the sunset. He deserves a good finish.Comment

There's no way he'll retire.
Still has 2 season left. He was on fire earlier in the season and played a big part in us being 5-1. Kicked 25 goals from 8 games. That would put him right up there in the race for the coleman for a full season.Adam Goodes: Rising Star 99, Brownlow 2003, 2006

It's weird how The Age has reported that he pulled up sore and have actual quotes from Bradshaw where as the Swans website doesn't mention that Braddy pulled up sore and is in doubt for the rest of the season. I actually spoke to Tony Morwood last night at a function and he pointed out that Bradshaw had pulled up well but won't play next week so his knee must be an issue still. My Man Mumford!Comment

Although I am sorry for Bradshaw and hope he will be back in the team next year, I think it is good that the boys that have gotten us to this point will be playing in the finals. Also I think the team has finally gelled and I wouldn't be tweaking it too much.Comment

I don't eat animals since discovering this ability. I used to. But one day the lamb I was eating came through to me and ever since then I haven't been able to eat meat.Comment
