Funny to read this thread now. It mirrored how I felt at the game.

First half, only a matter of time before we win.

15 minutes into the final quarter and turned off radio. It was over red rover.

I couldn't see who it was from where I was sitting but whoever tackled the blues player in our defensive 50 turned the switch.

Judd was outstanding in that 3rd quarter. Why did the Swans keep kicking to a contest after a behind. The ball just kept coming back immediately time after time.

That 3rd qtr was the loss we had to have. The game was our Geelong semi from 05. Victory from the jaws of defeat.

I enjoy day games at ANZ. Very nice in the sun.

agree with smithy he just gets the job done week in week out...........would be one of the first picked in my opinion.
Hopefully he can improve his motor and have a crack at tagging some of the elite midfielders in the comp next year

Did i hear Kirk plays his 200th consecutive game next week. Thats astonishing for a contested ball getter?

Awesome game. I'm still on edge.

              Love TDL!

Never thought I would say it, but love Bevan too!

Sooner Moore goes for McGlynn the better.

Judd played better tonight than he did to 'win' the Norm Smith.

Pike was great in the 4th.

                  TDL cool as a cucumber.

                  Kennedy, what a great game.

My voice is shot. I think we can be very proud of our boys today. The game was almost gone but I think the value of the home crowd gave us the edge. Olympic Stadium aint a bad place when there's a half decent crowd and we come away with a win. It'll need time to establish some sort of a history and wins like this will help a lot. I notice Rocket was in the crowd today. He would be really worried because we have the momentum. Can't get down to Melbourne next week but I might just take a chance on the Prelims.

It was much easier on the Heart watching the replay.
Awsome tackling from several Swans in the last quarter !
Huge pressure on the Blues at all times.
                      A real Bloods team effort.

Yeah, great game, still pumped. Looking forward to next Saturday, especially if Bradshaw and McGlynn are back in the side.

Oh what a magnificent show of grit and determination to somehow drag ourselves back into the contest. Carlton had their chance early in the last to put us away, but we had chances during the game especially at the start of the 3rd quarter to really kick away and finish the game off.

Some fine performances out there today- Kirk showed that Class is permanent, TDL is going to be a gun, and Kennedy was absolutely outstanding and Mummy was excellent (especially that bump- an absolute special!). Can't not mention Judd though- without him we would of easily won that game, he is a beast of a player.

Great feeling to win a close one when it looked lost like it did, and I can't wait for the Dogs next week at the G!

I have decided to start a class action against the Sydney Swans Football Club for ensuring that my life will end 20-30 years earlier than expected.
