Exactly. Bradshaw would be considered a success even if he sat in the goalsquare all day and prevented Lake rebounding across our CHF line. Plus there's a good chance he'd catch a few while he's down there. He'll play - two warm up matches in the twos is as good a preparation a full forward needs.

Agree with this sentiment. I hope Bevo reads RWO and can see the support he is getting here. His game against Carlton brought a smile to my face as you could see his joy when he kicked those goals. There should be a Bevo appreciation thread.Last edited by Nolie; 10 September 2010, 01:17 AM.Comment

Really, really suprised Moore held his spot ahead of both those lads.
The Bradshaw selection will either be a masterstroke or a disaster - we'll only know after the game. The eternal connundrum "what happens when an unstoppable force meets an immovable object" was finally solved when David Hasselhoff punched himself in the face.Comment

Ah Primms, it's just nerves. Benny was one our best before he got injured and offers a lot more than Bevo. As for Bradshaw, he is an absolute professional who knows his body and wouldn't play unless he was 100% confident. He has also played in more finals than I've had hot dinners so knows what is required. Also ask yourself who would Eade be more worried about, Jesse or Braddles...And the Swans are the Premiers...The Ultimate Team...The Ultimate Warriors. They have overcome the highly fancied Hawks in brilliant style. Sydney the 2012 Premiers - Gerard Whately ABC

lets not forget - Eade only has 3 men on the bench - poor old Johnno aint in that greater shape either - he has no legs! (but a really nice smile though - I do like him).Last edited by Wardy; 10 September 2010, 09:01 AM.I used to be indecisive, but now I'm not so sure..................

Why Daniel Curry?
My reasoning on Bradshaw is he lacks match fitness (wouldn't class a Canberra game as a match per se), brings no form into the team and possibly against the masses, think Jesse White has been a big part of our forward line success recently due to his mobility. If there is something Bradshaw lacks now, it is mobility.
I also have concerns as to what this will to do Jesse's psyche. I like him and I want him to stay a Swan.
Anyway, I hope it pays off, he kicks a bag and we win.

I think we are all getting a bit ahead of ourselves with Jesse. Hes a 22 yr old key position player who started playing the game late and only has 40 odd games under his belt. Of course he is probably feeling hard done by but Bradshaw is a walk up start in comparison and I couldnt believe he would be that disenchanted to leave (and anyway he has a contract beyond this year).
If not for Bradshaws injury, Goodes lack of ability to play as the only tall forward, and Johnstones untimely injuries, white probably wouldnt have gotten as many games as he did this year. This is THE crucial final as rarely does the team from the bottom four defeat the losing top four team in the second week of finals, you cant leave anything on the table.
As for Bevan , yes he has played well, but if I was doing the old school yard "pick a player" thing, I would definitely take McGlynn over bevan. You lose nothing taking McGlynn in over Bevan.Last edited by Mr Magoo; 10 September 2010, 09:59 AM.Comment

Smoke, Mirrors and Mind Games.
We have 3 travelling reserves White, Bevan and Meredith, any one or all of these players can replace a selected player.
Team match ups and providing experience would be my measure for the selections of in's and out's.
Remember this is suppose to be a game and have fun! (My way of saying leave you nerves at home)
Give it a go you Swans, this is the good side of the draw to the grand final.

With rain a possibility I am nervous about Bradshaw. But he should see Lake tied to the goal square and stop him drifting around like he does so well. Bevo was indeed unlucky and I thought he would be good rotating through the forward line to help cover Bradshaw in forward defence. McGlynn brings more pace but I feel Moore is lucky to be in.Comment
