Whodathortit! I am now uneasy about our chances now that Bevo is out, and White. Odd. state of affairs.

On the good side though (just trying, here): imagine - if they're all firing at near-full-capacity - Bradshaw, McGlynn, and TDL as a front(-ish) line. We'll be unstoppable.
But yes, at very least I was hoping Rhino'd be rested this game. We need him unplodding if we get past this round!Comment

I reckon either of Bevan or White will play.
Just can't see them taking two forwards into the game who are slightly suspect in ROK and Bradshaw with the Dogs now bringing in two that can run and a caution to the wind approach.
So it will be Bevan for ROK with Bradshaw to play or White for Bradshaw and ROK to play.

White and Bevan don't deserve to be dropped on form, but this is what happens in good teams. Good players miss out.
The changes are not a great surprise: a tall forward has replaced a tall forward; a defensive forward has replaced a defensive forward. I have no doubt that this week's selected side is stronger for these changes.
IF we win it may happen again next week. If LRT is fit he will play on Kosi.Comment

Me too, though moreso about White - it's great to have Bradshaw back, but I think we need both him and White on the bigger MCG for our structure. Expect Lake will go to Bradshaw which takes some of the pressure off Jesse. I think we might see a late change as we know ROK's groin is a bit suspect... but would Roos go into a final without O'Keefe? Maybe someone like Moore may drop out. I am reluctant to break up the White-TDL combination which has been working a treat, even if only one of them has been scoring!Comment

Happy that we are naming a good 22, but dissapointed for bevo and whitey. Wont be suprised if 1 of them plays in the end though. Go Swans.Comment

Happy about Bradshaw but unhappy at keeping ROK, for the reasons others have stated, including (I think) Snake's comment about the risk Lake represents in running off Bradshaw.
If McGlynn is really fit, well he should play, but I'm sorry Bevan is out. He's been very good lately. I don't know his contract status, but it's the kind of thing that might prompt him to look elsewhere. He reminds him of the guys, close-set, slow, and never rattled, who were play-makers on the team. brace yourself for late changes, the whole selection story has not yet been told. in this roosey says they will take all 3 emergencies down to melbourne. History tells us they this only occurs when 1 or 2 players pull out. Who knows who it could be Mummy could well be sore, bringing white back in. Ryan may not play or there may be some other niggle we dont know about.
who knows how it will play out but i would put my money on at least 1 change

But most of Hartijon's post was about Moore I'm presuming and seems to have him in the forward line in a deck chair and sun hat, perhaps with a fat cigar and megaphone. I'm suggesting that mere stats won't determine Moore's place in the squad. He had 12 disposals at 75% and laid six tackles. That's significantly better than Jude, for example. Moore, I expect will be in the first 12 picked for the team each week on the role his fulfils and how well he does it. That, to use a suitably political term, gives him a pretty safe seat.Comment

With rain a possibility I am nervous about Bradshaw. But he should see Lake tied to the goal square and stop him drifting around like he does so well. Bevo was indeed unlucky and I thought he would be good rotating through the forward line to help cover Bradshaw in forward defence. McGlynn brings more pace but I feel Moore is lucky to be in.Sports do not build character. They reveal it....Heywood Broun
