Ill believe the team when it runs out on the field.

Any chance of dry weather and White will be back in.

By Roos on admission, Bradshaw will only play 100 minutes. What are we going to do with the other 20? Not have a forward line ?

Well its time to swallow my pride and say I'm wrong, I was dead set certain White wouldn't be dropped, and I'm shattered. If Lake runs off Bradshaw and starts to kick goals I'm gonna be pissed! because Bradshaw will not keep up. Poor Bevo he's a battler!

I wouldn't worry too much. Watching the ressies game on the weekend, Bradshaw was chasing hard and moving very well. He limped off the ground at the end though, which was concerning. While he was out there he was quite mobile, so if the coaches reckon he can play out 100 minutes before breaking, then that will be 100 minutes in which Bradshaw is playing at or near 100%.

Time to swallow my pride and retract my shot at you for calling for Bevo to be dropped in another thread. Looks like you were on the money.
To all those people who waited 72 years to see a South Melbourne/Sydney Swans premiership HERE IT IS!!

For mine, the 2 outs I expected were; O'Keefe and Moore.
One is playing injured and in patchy form at best...
The other is just too slow and in patchy form at best.
Going in with these 2 and an underdone Bradshaw, all in and around the forward line, is a very risky move.
Not sure what to expect from McGlynn, seems very early to be coming back from such a nasty injury, into a no holes barred final. I hope when he puts his head over the pill he doesn't become a target.
Having said all that, maybe Roos is playing a bit of ducks and drakes with bitter old Eade, who has a history of outsmarting himself. Maybe White might still come in for either Bradshaw or O'Keefe or Moore.
Whenever you find yourself on the side of the majority, it's time to pause and reflect... MT

My reasoning on Bradshaw is he lacks match fitness (wouldn't class a Canberra game as a match per se), brings no form into the team and possibly against the masses, think Jesse White has been a big part of our forward line success recently due to his mobility. If there is something Bradshaw lacks now, it is mobility.

I also have concerns as to what this will to do Jesse's psyche. I like him and I want him to stay a Swan.

Anyway, I hope it pays off, he kicks a bag and we win.
Daniel Currie because he played the entire pre-season at full forward, knowing full well he wasn't going to be in the team for round one with Bradshaw fit. I felt sorry for the kid.

As for the rest of your post - I agree. I'm a White fan as well, I would have loved to have seen Braddy and White working together up forward this week.

I still have a feeling that the named team will not be the one that plays.

I think the outs were prudent and Roos will be proved justified. I am however pretty upset for Bevo. He's had his best year by far and played a cracker last week. I also think he's seriously important to the zelous defence required in the forward line.
