I'm with you Al, I thought it was a joke!
I really don't think Smith is in the team to be a goal kicker.Comment

If McGlynn is fit, he comes in for Bevan in my opinion, I would keep Jetta for the simple fact that he has pace and can break the lines.
Bradshaw if fit is a much more difficult omission. He has to play I believe (if fit), you only need to back to the first 6 rounds to justify his selection, however who makes way is a tough one. I think White is safe, having him and Bradshaw in the forward line frees Goodesy up to play midfield, where he play his best footy by a mile.
My call:
In: Bradshaw, McGlynn
Out: Bevan, MooreComment

i'm from the melbourne area and it is meant to be wet this weekend, so if that is the case i think Jetta has to go for the harder bodied McGlynn, and then White a straight swap for Bradshaw, if it is wet White has close to no chance of taking a mark but Bradshaw will be able to, and people have been commenting on White's ability to crash packs....Bradshaw has been doing that for a decade!Comment

Wouldn't surprise me if Braddy and Ben have another week off (because we will win).

And you can't help but think, as per usual, not much is going to change! Ha! I love how we get so worked up every week thinking about what might happen and in most cases, nothing much happens. Love it.

The ballpark gets a bit bigger comes finals time.
It all really depends on how the team is picked. Clearly ROK is struggling, but he is putting his hand up to play - who makes that call. Roos seemed to put that question back on to Bradshaw - saying that he needs to tell Roos that he can play 100 min of finals football. Who knows with McGlynn - you probably also wouldn't know unless you played him - the silly bugger might not be able to hold back. He could be a danger to himself.
Is the team picked by matching up the Bulldogs playing list against ours? They have a few big outs - and a lot sore. Perhaps we don't need as many negating players for this match as we have normally used. Perhaps we don't need to play Smith in his traditional role. Maybe that frees him up - maybe that puts him out for a week. Anything is possible at this stage - and of course anyone who gets dropped would be a bit stiff.
I imagine that all scenarios would be canvassed by the match-committee.Comment

Both Bradshaw & McGlynn will both be named in the side tonight. Not sure on the outs but the 2 unlucky ones will fly along with the named 22 to Melbourne. Perhaps the final FINAL decision about whether they play (Bradshaw more than McGlynn) will be made later?
Reid and Rohan to drop back to Canberra to help the reserves out in their prelim final.Comment

Wild speculation, unsubstantiated rumours, silly jokes and opposition delight in another's failures is what makes an internet forum fun.

I have a bad feeling about this. I like the idea of McGlynn coming back in (a lot), but not Bradshaw. Surely you have to stick with the guys who got us there over the last 5 weeks? He had observed that people who did lie were, on the whole, more resourceful and ambitious and successful than people who did not lie.Comment
