I had to ask my host to turn the sound down. There was no crowd to participate with - just mindless monotone.

But not on the game .

Can't bag Bradshaw - he could not have been 100% and went better than expected.

O'Keefe was down again - as was suggested on this forum earlier in the week , why take a clearly injured bloke into a crunch game ??

Moore- also as suggested here earlier this week - should have been dropped and Bevan left in.

McGlynn was brave , but the lay-off meant he was not at his best.

Ted Richards not on the "best" list ? I felt he had a good game.

TDL was awful - but he's a kid and he will be better for the run.

A poor result , but an unexpectedly very respectable season.
          Well done , lads.

I think the drawing analogies to the election result was very laboured. The independents were the 'men in yellow - the umpires'. No, not on tonight's showing they weren't.

The umpires tonight are even bigger wankers than Windor and Oakeshott.

How ironic is it that Gillard supports the Dogs......

I think the commentary was a bit average, but I can't blame them for enjoying a Dogs comeback. Most comeback teams get the 'support' of the commentators IMO.

                      Was that a pun?

I'm watching Ch10 and after the ad someone is going to interview Roos. Please God, don't let it be Andy Maher.
He had observed that people who did lie were, on the whole, more resourceful and ambitious and successful than people who did not lie.

im not blaming them for that but for:

1/ not knowing the names of the players
2/ spending the game making stupid in jokes amongst themselves
3/ crapping on about the bath well beyond any possible sense
4/ failing to notice what is actually happening in the game

                        ...i could go on

oh yes and that garbage about the election and the maggots ... i mean... really ...wtf?

Didn't expect them to make the eight this year so every finals game was a bonus. However, still shattered by the result, especially for Roos and Kirk. The post game interview with Kirk was sad to watch. How the %^& does the interviewer think Kirky feels? Not exactly rocket science!

Bradshaw was fantastic but rusty (those misses). Jessie would not have contributed as good.
Totally agree on O'Keefe and this decision to play him contributed greatly to us losing the game. AND I DO MEAN GREATLY!!!! (take note selectin committee)
Moore - who? Was he even out there? Bevan is greater (mark my words)
McGlynn was great I thought. But as you said :Not at his best" But what can you say. His best is very good and the injury I thought held him back a bit in the first half (didn't seem to stick the tackles he would normally stick) But the second half was great for a guy coming from the lead role of Phantom of the Opera.
Teddy fantastic on hall and a good first half as well. Punched well above his weight
TDL just not sighted. Maybe due to not having played with Bradshaw. But I think both Braddles and White should have played (ROK out!!). Don't hold any grudges against TDL. Ya gotta have a bad game every now and then.
And on aside not Mattner.... How frigging slow is he with hands!!! Needs big time work in this area and not a hard area to improve.

it was the soft goals that got the confidence back into the doggies late in the 2nd term and we seemed to panic in that 3rd qtr like last week..
we deserved to win that tonight, but some costly shots on goal. i was preparing myself to drive from perth to melb by late 2nd qtr..(wife is now secretly happy)
Theres not point saying if that person had played or not played you would drive yourself crazy...
Personally the team wehn far beyond our expectations this year, some more key recruiting this year of some early 20's guys will keep us in good stead..draft not that deep this year....

I for one am proud of the boys this year, considering the outs we have had we have done well. Well done boys...Goodbye and goodluck Roosy and Kirky..will be sadly missed
