The SWans have over achievd this year. Great effort but this is the reality of their position.

Well done boys in 2010. So close but yet so far.
In memory of my little Staffy - Dicey, 17.06.2005 to 1.12.2011- I'll miss you mate.

Commentators get so excited when Bulldogs have the ball. So biased - I am so sick of crap Victorian centric commentating on TV and radio.

Very famous dogs wins, we will have to deal with a lot of replays over the years. 30 points up against a decimated side and lose.

Oh well, will save some money. Well done in 2010 Swans.

We probably did over achieve...on balance we should have made no changes this week.

Going a tad far there. Unless they win the flag who cares about some semi final win.

We got further than anyone could reasonably expect considering our run with injuries, but gods I wanted to see Kirky & Roos out with a better game than that.

Once the sting fades, I think we'll appreciate 2010 for a pretty damn good season, all things considered. How good COULD we be with a fully fit team, and with that experience? The kids got some good games, and there's some promising ones there.. Reid, Rohan, Jets, TDL etc... We just weren't good enough in the end. Had our chances and didn't take them. Hold your heads up, Swans. Have a good summer.

177th Senior AFL Match - Round 4, 2009 - Sydney vs Carlton, SCG. This is obviously out of date. I suppose I'll update it once I could be bothered sitting down with the fixture and working it out....

Nah, the Dogs don't have many famous finals victories. This will be up there.

Great year boys. Roosy and Kirk gutted. I don't think they deserved to go out like that. They had that game and threw it away. The Mummy being injured hurt us plus wasteful behinds. Unfortunately for us we gifted goals on the turnover like they were going out of fashion. Hard to fault the year though. Keep your heads up boys. On to next year.

I agree but I am disappointed that we gave up a 30 point lead.

Great season. Goodbye Roosy and Kirky but a GF appeareance will happen in 3 years.

I hoped we would have won tonight BUT next two games would have been our reality.

Great unexpected improvement this year...BUT.....we should not have changed the squad from last week. Bradshaw was a liability. Bevan had been bloody good in recent weeks. A sight tougher than some today....

We've had a good year but tonight was a @@@@ing disgrace IMO. The Bulldogs are a depleted team and we had them on toast, and we blew it.

A prelim final spot was there for the taking and we didn't grab it. Mentally not strong enough.

Once we were 30 points up we just stopped and let them back into the game, that just shows a complete lack of mental toughness if you ask me. We had them bent over and we were ready to make love to them but we blew it.

                            The umpiring was @@@@@@ aswell.

Disappointed, but we got a lot further than I thought we would. I think a few things caught up with us in the end.

                              Some observations...

                              1. Not sure who was more biased; Stephen Quartermain or the umpires. It seemed that a lot of the 50:50 decisions went Bulldogs way and a lot of decisions were let go for us.

                              2. Ultimately, you could say that the various misses from Bradshaw cost us the game. Could of should of... But aside from that he played well.

                              3. Josh Kennedy is awesome

                              4. TDL had a shocker. So did Reg and a few others.

Dunno what else. Feel flat, but they achieved so much this year....

                              Almost forgot...

                              So long Roosy and Kirky

He had observed that people who did lie were, on the whole, more resourceful and ambitious and successful than people who did not lie.

We should have got there to have our reality. I think we should all celebrate a great year but what happened tonight wasn't a great end to the story.
