That word was placed (as it should have been) in both the OP and the quote of the OP.

Great post. If Birdie can get that foot right I think there is a place in the team for him for sure.

It's not poor form. It is poor form, however, to not apologise and make clear what was edited, so that the person that replied to you isn't left looking stupid/wrong when in fact it was your error.

I'll accept that, you are right.

Liz I apologise for not noting why I had edited my post and yours. One word can make a big difference, as was the case with my original post.

In hindsight I should have just pointed out what I meant to post in a subsequent post. However, we are all wise in hindsight.

No it's doesn't on any forums I have used in the past 15 years. And I haven't seen it on here.

If so, it wouldn't have the details of the edit of Liz's post reflecting your account. It would just happen on the back end of the system seamlessly if that was the case. Which would leave the posters reply to the quote intact and possibly looking completely out of context without them knowing. Which is why it doesn't occur.

Anyways, looks like we have moved on. But transparency is a must

team sport, coaches, timing, injuries and recruitment - AHHHHH just some of the ingredients to create opportunities for heroes to emerge and for others to disappear into the abyss !

Kirk - he had no chance under Rocket.......... but 9 seasons ago under Roos.... Kirky suddenly found his feet......... as the style of footy worked for him..........and he blossomed ! Kirky debuted around 1999 at approx 22/23 yrs of age......and hung around till 2002 at approx 25/26yrs of age and only played some 20 or so games pre Roo's take over in 2002 season. Then played another 220 or so games and killed it and became the epi centre of player leadership at the Swans. It is amazing to think that Kirky at 25/26 had played half the games that Bird has by 20yrs of age !

Bird - already played some 40 games by 20 yrs of age..............imagine if he was injury free in the early rounds he may have had the jump on Kennedy...... and Craig may have gone from strength to strength and racked up 60 career games all by 21yrs of age.........Kennedy was deserved top 3 best and fairest but Bird can make 20 or so disposals (same average as Kennedy) in such a small amount of minutes on the field in comparison to alot of our midfield rotation such as Kennedy..........and Bird can do everything Kennedy can do in my opinion with more skill. That being said Kennedy's belief in himself and his courage went to a whole new level by the last 8 games of the season and he shined !! Kennedy had approx 30 possessions per game in the final series and if that is his new benchmark for week in week out football we a great value midfielder for many years !!!

The main reason I popped the thread up re Bird.......was that we had Kennedy and Kirky generally playing a similar tight role on players in 2010 and they are very important around the ruck along with McVeigh and Jude.......but the dunny door is wide open for midfield and HF line rotations and I dont think Birdy is out of the running yet even with Shaw and Rok playing more and more midfield minutes and now Jetta etc............its just interesting to note that we are not seeing much of Birdy pre season

my bolter is watch out for Luke Parker...........only every so often do you see high lights of young guys who just look like they were meant to play footy............he looks like a footy player.....lateral vision, aggression, skill, dexterity and a great mark and hand pass but he has that x factor confidence on the field.......he looks like he could physically play the Swans footy straight away.

I still cant believe we got Luke at pick 21? he looks like a young Michael Voss...........massive call and I have been wrong before

and Vossy was only a 6 time all aussie player !!

Lazy???? Really... Gee I hope you don't get stress fractures from being lazy otherwise my gluteus maximus could be getting some fractures anytime now.

No, Bird might be many things but lazy isn't one of them.

Birdy lazy? I think you have the wrong player in mind. Shortish, stocky, black hair, scarred skin, not likely to be picked up by any modeling agency, quick between the ears and clean decision making? I can think of a couple of others that could be tagged as being lazy, but.........
