Swans Intra-Club match Friday Feb 11

A few people here are keen to get out there so i thought i'd start a thread.

    Excerpt from this article

As running fitness turns to game fitness, the Swans will play their first intra-club match on February 11 at Lakeside Oval opposite the SCG.
Gonna head out there with my camera and take a few photos.

I'll be there. Just need a story for the boss now that doesn't elicit the response "you're doing what!!!"
..And the Swans are the Premiers...The Ultimate Team...The Ultimate Warriors. They have overcome the highly fancied Hawks in brilliant style. Sydney the 2012 Premiers - Gerard Whately ABC

Gastroenteritis. It's a simple enough complaint that can clear up of it's own accord within 24 hours, is possibly infectious, is severe enough to stop you going to work, and disgusting enough that few questions will be asked.

Just wear a long sleeve top, zinc on the nose and a hat. You do not want to turn up looking all sun tanned and healthty after pleading a sicky!

Someone seriously called in sick* two weeks ago and gave that exact reason- it was the day after a late night shin dig for a fair sized project, too.

                  * well, in the wonders of the modern workforce they just flicked an email saying they were off the air for the day and I looked at it and thought "I probably wouldn't have known if you were in anyway".
I knew him as a gentle young man, I cannot say for sure the reasons for his decline
We watched him fade before our very eyes, and years before his time

Make sure you have space left for the players after you take all the photo's of us.

I might even make an appearance for this one. I'll be wearing the red and white kaftan. Inspired by Oprah's visit to Oz naturally.

What do you mean no shade. I'll sit down in front of Big Al!!!!

Public service volunteer to prevent skin cancer !!!

If anyone sees 2 men chasing each other before the game. Will have nothing to do with Mardi Gras. That will be Big Al chasing me around. Can someone bring in the loudspeaker and Benny Hill soundtrack!

Have to be careful not to trip on Kaftan.

This is terrific advice but I think I buggered it up. I told the boss that I need the 11th off because I'm going to have Gastro... From his reaction I'm not sure where I went wrong.

For those going to the scratch match there will also be some street theatre for you to enjoy. Bas and I will be recreating the Rodney King beating. Bas will play the role of Rodney and of course I'll be playing the LA Cop. Now while it may look very very real be assured that we are professionals and that no one will be hurt...... much.

Tell the boss you have awful period pain. It's flawless - if your boss is a woman, she will be understanding; if your boss is a man, he won't be able to get off the phone quick enough.
