Desperately trying to figure if I can be there or not ... better start dropping "oh, I hope I don't catch that horrible, horrible cold my partner has had all week" foreshadowings around the office now ....

I presume Centennial Park is open for parking for us cheap skates. I mean supporters looking for value in parking.

Big Al, I have enlisted a secret weapon for Friday, do the initials RC mean anything? Hee, hee, hee.............Yes I will be wearing the Camilla Franks, Oprah inspired Swans supporter kaftan as well.

I'm travelling down from the Central Coast so if anyone needs a lift from up here or down Pacific Highway through the north side, let me know. I've evicted the rats from the Pathfinder this week so am able to take passengers in safety.
I assume Fox Studios is open for us lazy buggers, I mean Convenient Parking Seekers.

Best not to wear the Kaftan Bas as we need the boys concentrating on the job at hand and they'll struggle to do that if all their better halves are eyeing the hunk wearing a Swans table cloth.

Yes pls? And note that those seeking REALLY convenient parking, bring your shrapnel as the on street parking is expensive and highly monitored.

Training starts at 9, but as for the match itself I think after all the warmups and whatevers, it'd be closer to 9.30am. Well that's what happened last year anyway.

Okay I take that back. This was on the Swans FB page

Intra club starts at around 9am on Friday. They'll play a warm up quarter and then 3x20 minutes.

Do you think the intraclub will be using the NAB Cup rules with its silly out-of-bounds rules (
'Out of bounds' rule gets touch up for Cup - AFL.com.au
) or the normal regular season AFL ones?

Knowing the high regard we've placed on the NAB Cup in years past (not), I would think they'd play to the proper rules....

Best excuse for an "ongoing" sickie is an ulcer-ish type disease.
The pain is so bad, I need to have the arvo off (so I can go for a swim).
Then you need to follow it up with a visit to a specialist (there's another morning).
Then, of course, the specialist is going to send you off for tests (a whole day right there).
Then just for the hell of it, one more doctor's visit to get the results (another sleep in my friends).

Best bit of all, is that in about six to eight weeks - flare up. (Here we go again.)

(Yes, one day I will use my brain for good.)
Wild speculation, unsubstantiated rumours, silly jokes and opposition delight in another's failures is what makes an internet forum fun.
Blessed are the cracked for they are the ones who let in the light.

You'd think they would be more considerate for us wanting to sleep in, I mean, travelling down from the Central Coast.

I suppose I can go down on Thursday night and sleep with the wino's..... Not good idea, too much like being married again.
In memory of my little Staffy - Dicey, 17.06.2005 to 1.12.2011- I'll miss you mate.

There are some prime spots over from me in Woolloomooloo - I can point them out if you like, although they're pretty easy to spot....

Swans to tackle first intra-club match - Official AFL Website of the Sydney Swans Football Club

Only 30 players to take part. I wonder who will be the topups (if any)? Surely most of the academy kids will be at school.

I'd imagine the Academy kids would be allowed the day off. They'd probably nab some topups from the Sydney clubs too.

Identification is going to be difficult though! Hopefully they try a bit better to wear their usual numbers this time.
Officially on the Reid and Sumner bandwagon!

Is that number (30) a bit low, given we have 45 senior and rookie-listed players and just seven injured?

Does it just mean that another half a dozen players aren't match-fit?
