Match committe won that game - great match ups and versatile selections - Also took Reid off at just the right time - GR showed glimpses of why he'll be a Brownlow winner.

have to eat my words re loss by 5 goals. wonderful guts but we should have won easier, our skills are deplorable espessially coming out of the backline, how many times did we kick it to the opposition, perhaps are team needs it eyes checked, color blind they must be. we will struggle against the best sides unless we hit targets in RED AND WHITE.

Sensational win last night. I had given up halfway through the last qtr when they got out to two goals and we didn't look like getting back. Fantastic effort to keep digging and digging and come away with the points. I don't know how many more of these close calls I can take. Just once I'd like to see the Swans win comfortably.

P.S. Jetstar - GOAL OF THE YEAR!! Reminded me a little of Robbie AhMat at the SCG a few years ago.
        Red & White forever.

Gutsy win with lots of contributors. Great to see how careful the guys are not to give a high tackle. Our tackling is real human blanket stuff and builds up real desperation in our opponents who then spill the ball.To win in such a hostile environment after soft frees to Cox and another Weagle led to goals ,then have the Captain miss from 2 metres out trying to kick 60 metres ,was a great achievement. I feel sorry for MacVeigh. He is trying too hard and is having a Ponting like Ashes season so far .Is the Captaincy a curse? I hope he turns it around with a BOG next week by just concentrating on his game.
White did some good things,McGlynne was dangerous all night and Grundy never gave up despite some terrible kicking. For two weeks in a row we got a lot to thank Mattner for.Desperate legal tackles on the last line saved us.

Putting Little Ranga on the ground won us the game.

Seriously, why is Bird playing and Little Ranga not???

Yet another Sydney/West Coke Criminal Budgie awesome game. As Madame Prims said, it's a heart-monitor game.
My criminal budgie loving friend won't answer my phone calls or texts. Can't see why.

As an aside, word of warning ... we went to the Western Suburbs AFL Club at Croydon Park last night, and lasted till the end of the first quarter.
With a room full of people (they won the footy), they had set up KAROKE for everyone to have a sing WHILE THE GAME WAS ON.
The BAR staff were wonderful, and the food was great, although they "forgot" the order for half of our party, but they did make them as "takeaways" which we picked up on our way out. Thing was, we rang during the week and were assured that the game would be on and the sound will be up. (Always wise to check these things.) Sorry any Western Suburbs dudes reading this, but even at $2.20 a year for membership, we won't be going back.
Wild speculation, unsubstantiated rumours, silly jokes and opposition delight in another's failures is what makes an internet forum fun.

A great improvement has to be singled out - our defensive pressure whilst in the opposition's forward 50. Last year too often it would sail out with ease, now every time it seems a decent chance that we will pressure a turnover or at least force a long kick to a contest.

There is so much upside to this team!!!

If Jets' goal on the run isn't in the running for goal of the week I'll be most upset (using my judging criteria that Buddy won GOTY on a very similar run).

Did you see the way he went "shhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh" to the crowd?**

I've never seen such a "big" "sellout" crowd of 37,000 odd people leave the ground so quickly in all my life. By the time the commentators came back from the last ad break to say goodbye, the only people in the stadium were the cleaners with their brooms. Funny.

(**While Jack Riewoldt will get fined for giving the Hawks bench the bird (while the Tiggers were being ripped a new one). Take notes Jackie you big girl.)

Just looked at the stats, after reading Jude had a flabbergasting 19 tackles. In total, Swans had 111 tackles to Wiggles' 69, with Jack and Mummy also laying 10+. That is quite a differential.

Now if only our blokes could learn to kick it to each other...

Very good win. The team appears to be settling quite well. We wouldn't have won a game like this not so long ago.

19 tackles AND silencing Kerr. Brilliant.
Bolts is the chief engineer in the engine room at the moment.

Unlike last week, it wasn't just ticker that got us over the line this week - there was a real poise and some brilliant inside 50s and some courageous kicking thru the middle of the ground. If we can do that for four qrs, then we may be able to avoid the Cardiac Kids tag!

Many brilliant efforts - as others have noted, Smiffy was fabulous after an ordinary week, Kennedy & Jack were very important in close, great tagging efforts from Bird and Shaw - really the only ones that were a concern were ROK (his disposal has been horrid all year), Sam struggled to make an impact and Bevo didn't manage to keep his clanger scorecard in the black. But many more positives - bring on the Cats!!
