For the first the first time in the history of the Sydney Swans, they are undefeated for their first five games interstate.

Indeed, you have to go back to 1932 with South Melbourne, to find an occasion when the club went undefeated for their first 5 Away games. That occasion is gaining particular relevance right now. South's first time coach Johnny Leonard, led the Swans' to an undefeated performance for the first 10 games (home and away) in total. That is a record achievement for a first year coach. Geelong's Chris Scott will break that long time first year coach record if the Cats win their next game.

That was so good I need a
cigarette - and I don't even smoke... The Courthouse in Newtown was heaving
tonight during that brilliant display - Bird and AJ
were great - hope we can keep that up for a few weeks - wonderful stuff

This was a fabulous win, so nice to sit back and enjoy a rout, something we don't often get to do as Swans supporters...but this win was no where near as impressive as our wins over West coast and the Bombers.
The Lions were pathetic...reminded me of the Tigers 2 years ago, no pressure! Voss seems to of bitten off a lot more than he can chew, no experience around him, what a disaster for the Lions mid term future.
I don't know what goes on behind the scenes, but tactically he was a non participant tonight, just hopeless.

Some key numbers, we won the disposal count 408-273, had more marks (128-70) but still won the tackle count 72-58 despite winning more of the ball. Total domination. And if you looked at it at quarter time the numbers were even more bleak for Brisbane. At one stage in the first half the inside 50 count flashed up on screen, it was 30-6. Dwayne had to point out that those were the actual numbers and not the score!! Imagine when our forward line efficiency starts to pick up.

As Roos said it was a good move by Horse to put LRT in the goal square where Merritt isn't as comfortable.

Loved it when Roos recommended Mcglynn kicking to the goal square, which he then did, resulting in a great goal by Goodes

Great win away fro home against a team that has looked competitive all year despit not winning games.

With Bradshaw now not an future option, we have to develop a forward structure for the immediate and mid term. Maybe LRT is the answer for FF? He takes a strong contested mark, is an excellent spoiler, puts presssure on opponents and is relatively athletic albeit looking a touch cumbersome. He also attracts the oppositions best tall defender and can do a fair job as second ruck.

Also thought TDL added an extra dimension tonight that we've been lacking.

Not sure what we do with Seaby when Mummy returns, hmmmm

That was quite bizarre. Have no idea what was going on with the Lions this evening. Did they get ahead of themselves after two wins? Their pressure was non existent in the first half and barely any better in the second. Came away from the ground thinking Swans had really done just enough and could have won by 100 if they'd been in the mood.

What I did like was their kicking efficiency. Even allowing for lack of pressure it was hugely improved. And the centre clearance work was terrific in the first half especially.

Continue to be amazed by AJ's contribution. And love that Sammy Reid is just as happy to get down and dirty on the ground as he is to lead hard.

And most of all from tonight, as with most weeks, I love how hard BennyMac goes at every single contest.

Lrt is not strong enough in the contest for a kp forward.
Still not convinced that Jesse might not have done worse.
I may have higher standards but those who called that a four qtr
                              Effort are kidding themselves.
Our clanger rate in the second half was embarrassing and messers
Mattner and Richards were the main culprits.
I also struggle to see Jetta's impact on the result - as he had little
                              Involvement.
Maybe our boys were fatigued from last week but I am still
                              far from convinced.

Can't wait for mummy and kizza to come back next week.
They'll need a run if we want to have a shake at season defining
                              Games against Blues and Pies.
                              MUST WIN NEXT WEEK!!!

Really pleased with the performance tonight. I had it down as a danger game, but Brisbane were never in the hunt. Only downer of it all was we didn't go on to beat them by 100+ points, but a super performance none the less. Brisbane were poor, but our skills were much better tonight than last week or against the Dorks, I hope it continues next week. Lots of stand out performances- Bolton and Kennedy were very good in the midfield, Shaw and McVeigh used the ball well, Grundy and Teddy kept Brown very quiet, LRT did a job up forward, AJ again looked cool calm and very much a fine player in the making, and TDL did really well (Hopefully this will make the point where he becomes an automatic selection as our forward line looked a lot better tonight).

Great to give a team a real belting for once- and while there are plenty of ups and downs to come and we are still some way short of competing with the best teams in the comp, there are the makings there of a VERY good football team indeed, especially when you consider the young guys getting game time and doing very well to go with it! The future looks bright indeed.
