Thank god I chose to have a picnic in Centennial Park rather than stay home and watch this debacle. Glorious day outside everyone!

If it was as bad as it seems, time to accept there is nothing significant to be gained from this season, move Goodes back to the midfield and let's find out if we have a forward line of the future from among TDL, White, Johnston & Reid. Maybe not against the Pies (that would be a trifle unfair) but thereafter it's time to find out exactly what we've got in the larder.

its time for kennelly to retire..i am faster than him!
we wont win flag so time to actually play with a forward line
tdl is a genuine goal kicker and if white isnt going to cut it then trade him
its a blight on recruiting that we didnt factor in bradshaw retiring. lions are laughing at that trade.
the whole team cannot kick from the set shot and its pretty embarassing. 9-21 last week. 3 out of bounds and 3 behinds from 30m out this week?
that aside i saw the game today and the swans got nothing from the umps. 24-11 free kick count? no way
in melbs the swans get no coverage in the media and their game plan is put down at every opportunity
i am starting an alternate commentary and live feed to counter this bias
time to get a better draw and better deal for the afl's most spirited club
        go bloods!!

The final score flattered us. I was interested to see whether we might be still stuck on 28 by the time the final siren blew.

You lot are the most knee jerk bunch I've ever heard - I think we should wait another week at least before we start to panic.

Cost me a perfect round in the tips. Hate when that happens : )

Wish I'd spent the arvo outside too, after that performance. Flattering scoreline in the end, could have gone down by 10 or more if the Blues hadn't eased up in the 4th.

It's getting to be the same old story every week; back line good, midfield OK but nothing forward. Reid is really promising and I hope a star of the future, but he's some way to go yet. Don't know what the answer is, just hope we find it soon.

Pies could be really ugly next week.

                      cardinal, its not panic.
more just the point we cant kick goals even though we match the inside 50's in every game.
we won the inside 50's today 46-42 yet lost by 6 goals?
                      lrt is a key defender.
why not put him back and have more of a genuine forward line with goodes permanently in the midfield.

Mummy did not play well today. Perhaps only 70% still may not be 100% even if not suspended. Jack is still trying to be 100% again. Next week will be even a more difficult game and there is only a six day break and the Pipes will be back from a bye. Everything points to a more courageous approach. Gamble a little and see the outcome. Getting the forward right is the priority and give some tired legs to rest; some confidence to build in the seconds.

                          Out: Mummy, Jetta, McVeigh, Tadgh
                          In: Currie, TDL, Bevan, Johnston

B: Nicholas Smith, Ted Richards, Alex Johnson

HB: Martin Mattner, Heath Grundy, Nick Malceski

Macca wont be given a rest nor Kennelly but unfortunately Macca week to week Macca is really struggling for pace and position compared to most top4 team midfields

The issue is hat Macca isnt adding anything at the moment

Its sad that we against the Blues we need to carry ROK, Macca, Bolts for pace............they are tenacious and solid Senior players but they are slow compared to more then just top 4 teams.

Melb, WC etc etc are still way to fast thru the midfield for us.......

BTW - For me I thought Walker's role really destroyed our defence ie having Teddy move so far away from the sticks and leaving Grundy so one out !........ brilliant coaching by Ratten and his Walkers capacity cardio is awesome !!!

To think we might have been able to pick him up last year instead of Jed Lamb if we were prepared to swap our no 20 pick

Well, I have decided I'm not going through the stress and heart attacks of previous years if I can help it, so this week, seeing as the game was only shown on FTA (which I just can't stand watching), I decided that I would avoid the live telecast completely and watch the Foxtel replay at 7.30.

After text messaged advice from my daughter, I have now abandoned that part of my plan.......
