Apart from the result im most dissapointed with Goodesy. Such a good player, but plays for free kicks too often instead of just being better than his opponent and taking the mark, (had we seen him play the same way for the first 3 qtrs as he did in the last then we could have been in the contest @ 3 qtr time.

It's always interesting to see the tantrums that some people chuck when we lose. I thought we were simply outclassed by a much better team today. There's always next week - bring on the Pies!!!!

I said a 5 to 6 goal win to Carlton. Although I thought a 10 to 12 goal win was on the cards there at one stage.

Carlton are a very good side. We might cop 10 goals next week.

        Thank God for Iron Chef!!

Goodesy was one of our best today (not that that's saying much), and I didn't see him play for a free once. Generally speaking it's a problem of his, but I thought he was quite good in that respect today.
Officially on the Reid and Sumner bandwagon!

Yes certainly in our best because of his junktime last qtr (WHEN THE GAME WAS FINISHED). Everytime he was in a contest early in the game he just threw his arms out as if he was being held instead of jumping for the mark or whatever. Is capable of far, far better.

goodesy smashed it when he went into midfield! leave him there and put another forward ie tdl in to kick set shots.

we won the inside 50's today 46-42 yet lost by 6 goals?
                      lrt is a key defender.
why not put him back and have more of a genuine forward line with goodes permanently in the midfield.
                      I agree.

The forward line has been a raffle each week so there is no panic when people call for changes! The coaches have stuck solid with the defence personell. Maybe they need to stick solid with the forwards for a while. Confidence at that end is obviously down.

Sure there is great intensity at the ball but there is so much intensity to get the thing they bugger up delivery in the red mist. And no confidence to slot the basic requirement... goals!

One commentator mentioned how our back line likes to work together as a unit. How do you reckon our forward line functons as a unit?
