Amen to that! The point about Spangher is that we have nothing to lose by trying him and everything to gain if he succeeds. Why would you NOT hope he does well and answers the huge Forward line problem we have? After him the other hope is Mike Pyke if he is fit.

As mentioned in another thread, if we continue to play dumb footballers in the forward line, we will lose more than we win in the second half of the season.

Everitt, Bevan, White = dumb, dumber, dumbest.

Time to drop these three and bring in Sphanger, TDL and Jack.
Also, Smith for Bird (due to injury).

I hope he does well if he's brought into the seniors at some stage but all I really know of him at this stage is that he was cut by last year's wooden spooners and has had a couple of eye-catching games against 3rd rate opposition.... But I will cheer him just as much as I cheer all our other guys if he gets a run....

I haven't been along to look at the training sessions but I am of the opinion we need skills sessions & our forwards & mids need specialised goal kicking practice. Appasrently most clubs don't do concentrated goal practice. But funnily, the Hawks, Cats & Pies do! Funny about that.
There is SOME hope. According to my young bloke, Davis is helping coach the Academy kids (the U12s at the very least - cos that's where my son is!). Can we wait 10 years??

most clubs don't practice goal kicking as much as they need too. It's been mentioned down here a few times in the last few years, the conditioning staff don't agree with it as it might cause some soft tissue injuries. Kind of weird because i would have thought goal kicking to be a major priority given it's the most important facet of our game.

Or spell surnames correctly: Johnston (Lewis) Johnson (Alex)

I'd like to see a little consistency. Jesse has just come back in and I'd like us to persist a bit giving the team a chance to settle. If we can get TDL in plus have Smith, Jack and Melcho return I think we will be ok.

Agree totally with your post. Time the coach overule the conditioning staff in this instance. I sure the great FFs Locket, Dunstall, Ablett etc practised their goal kicking.
