FFS dude. Get over it. No, we do not have the inside information the coaches do. But do we watch the games? Yes. So we're judging based on the output we see. If you can't cope, I think you should get off the board.[/QUOTE]

By all means make judgements on what you see. But don't assume that these are in any way epiphanies that the coaches have not identified. I think if you can't cope with that, then you should get off the board.

Lol..that's a good point, pretty sure it was the water-boy, not the runner, who gave away 50.

That said, Clarke was coming in off a Holding type run up, the water-boy almost needed to scout the back end of the square to clear him.

We can't have it both ways. If we are going to play the kids, we are going to lose our fair share of games. But we need to plan for the future. Longmire needs time to get this group together. I am more inclined to question the selectors and their lack of support for players like Lewis Johnston and Byron Sumner, who are given a game then dumped the next week. Johnston needs to be played as a permanent forward, not sent down back to fill a hole. Sumner should be given a role across half back. Rohan should be brought straight back into the senior side. I'd almost be inclined to give Lamb a game straight away. And with both Bolton and Bradshaw retiring, are there any rookies that have been elevated?

Unfortunately its not the kids losing games at critical times for us. Tadgh's 50 metre gift to Fremantle is a case in point. Is White still "a kid?". He gives us very little and I reckon there are a couple of Kids would give us more. Playing the kids does not equate with losing games!!!

Geelong,Collingwood both have played kids who have done well.

Mind you if all you do is practice structures and not skill execution id assume all players at any level will have the skills wane as the season goes on as in a game isnt the time to be training.

And if youve seen the coke zero promo thing with our players hitting a can strapped to a post im not sure its as much skill as maybe fitness, yes your under alot of pressure during a game but veterans especially should be able to hit a target 7-8 times out of ten at the least, maybe fatigue is playing a big part in it.

Though with ROK it seems like he's been told just whack it on the boot and dont worry where it's going, maybe he's was getting caught holding it too often,or maybe its fatigue? If its not fatigue there are many drills and tools a coach can use to help improve players skills, unfortunately its too late in the season for an easy fix, although a slight improvement could be the difference between playing finals this year or not.
I agree with what you say On Baller and I recall watching Malceski in the TAC Cup Finals and he was the OOF king. That was my concern when we drafted him but for a while there he improved markedly. Perhaps his two Lars jobs have robbed him of kicking strength. McGlynn and Malceski were woeful in the first 15 minutes so fatigue wasn't their problem.

Having said that our structures are awful when the ball is deep in our back line. Game after game we do not having enough players a quick kick out of defence and that is our main game style.
Who's fault is our forward line? Our proclivity for constantly giving duds a game in that forward line! The selectors are woeful & Nipper should have been given a game way in front of White. White is another Fitzie!!! We have very good cattle it's just that we arn't playing them, we are playing a lot of clapped out old farts & no hopers. Start the clean out now!

LRT on market (was good last week & we could get a reasonable draft choice for him)
                      Moore on market
Ryano? I just wonder, he hasn't played a full match for a while
Goodsie? Same as Ryano no full game from Adam for some time
Macca made a lot of fuss about playing 4 quarters & he needs to follow his own advice
The newbies were all good, it was the experienced players, other than Heath, that let us down.

Fitzgerald was a good footballer. He was just injury prone. If White's output per game played had been anything like Fitzgerald's, I doubt we'd be complaining.

Before the start of the round just past, ROK was sitting 3rd on the leaderboard in the AFL Coaches' Award, behind just Judd and Murphy. Sure, how players poll is somewhat dependent on the competition they have for votes from other players (not just from their own team, but also from the opposition). But pretty hard to knock the season of a bloke that the AFL-wide coaching fraternity seems to reckon is having a pretty good season. (Or are all AFL coaches idiots, not just the Swans' panel?)

wolftone, just who advises you about players ?

That's a couple of times in the last week you've trumpeted 'White's another Fitzy' as if Fitzy was the biggest spud to pull on a R&W jumper. The guy had 2 knee recos in 4 years of footy and the world will NEVER know if he was going to make it or not.

All that's on top of a month of labelling Currie a 'big monster who throws his weight around and protects his teammates' where in truth the monster he more resembles is the Stay Puft Marshmallow Monster from Ghostbusters.

It's hard to say with John, I think there's a lot of structural/coaching issues when watching the seniors play but I don't know how much of that actually lies with John and how much lies with the overall coaching staff. We really need to give it another season at least to get an idea.
