Mumford was really good. Kennedy was very good. Parker really had a go and held his own. Every single other player in the team was either beaten (Reid, Grundy, Smith, Shaw, Goodes, McGlynn, ROK, Ted to name a few.....) or horrendous (Bird, Bolton, Jack, LRT, Meredith, Jetta, Mattner, Kennelly). Those last 2 should be the only definites to be dropped IMO. I think Jetta and Meredith might be the 2 worst players in the league when it comes to manning up. Houli just jogged down the field and neither of them could get anywhere near him. It was truly disgusting.

Pathetic & get rid of these players now a few of them should get a price. Shaw, Kennelly & Mattner make too many mistakes even though Marty is fearless & does some great things. Sack the coaching panel they are hopeless. The club just looked at the next in line for coaching and took the easy way out, the most inexpensive. The players are too old and slow & Longmire doesn't seem to be able to inspire a good game out of Lewis Jetta & that is pathetic. I knew we would lose today, we had a crunch game against the Crows & lost that too. Longmire doesn't seem to be able to coach crucial games.
Luke Parker as a sub that was a really match winning move and yet Kennelly played. McVeigh (who's mind must be on other things at the moment poor thing) probably shouldn't have played until next week when he would be feeling a bit better & everything was totally clear in his mind. What was wrong with Jude today he looked out of sorts, he missed tackles, dropped the ball & hardly got any of it.
someone said some weeks ago what would I do play the young blokes & yes I would & get rid of some of the old blokes or at least put them on notice. It is harder to get out of this team if you are a veteran than the Aussie cricket team. Time for a few of them to go. In the last few weeks let's play some of the young blokes and see how they go as they can't do any worse than our experienced blokes getting done by Richmond.Comment

That was @@@@. Utterly embarrasing and we don't deserve to play finals if we play like that. Terrible effort and with the exception of a select few, we were just woeful. Worst performance of the year for mine, and we just looked completely clueless out there with no idea what we were trying to do when in possession, and 355 steps behind when defending.
I don't think I can be stuffed driving 3 hours each way next week to watch us get towelled by the Saints."You get the feeling that like Monty Python's Black Knight, the Swans would regard amputation as merely a flesh wound."Comment

The worst thing is that we won't make any sweeping changes. Probably Meredith out and that'll be it."I'll acknowledge there are more talented teams in the competition but I won't acknowledge that there is a better team in the competition" Paul Roos March 2005Comment

Both are finished I think & you can put Rhyce & Marty up for sale & see who bites. Time for a new book in the backs as well as clearing of the mids & forwards. By the way I don't think the style of coaching inspires talented footballers as it is negative & totally pack based. What's more the coaching panel don't pick players for the big ground & they could have given a few of the older players a rest today & played a bit of pace.Comment

Longmire is not inspirational you only have to listen to him speak, he sounds almost illiterate, boofy & uninspiring. Very blokey & not at all like Roos who was very articulate, he even makes Sheedy sound educated (funnily enough Sheeds is educated I forgot).Comment

I am thinking ahead to Geelong at Skilled. The eternal connundrum "what happens when an unstoppable force meets an immovable object" was finally solved when David Hasselhoff punched himself in the face.Comment
