I agree and I apologize for the ranting I did when they lost to Richmond. We cam within in 6 points of Collingwood, beat Geelong, lost to Hawthorn, beat WC at Perth, could have beaten Carlton but for an interchange error, beat St Kilda, beat Essendon all teams in the 8. We deserve to be there.

It was never in doubt. Rohan said so before the game
Cats graveyard holds no fears for Sydney's rising starComment

Richmond to win probably 4 to 1 (I think), Swans to beat Saints 2.5 and Syd each quarter probably 30 plus - 300 to 1Comment

When people remember the 2011 Footy season it will be remembered for 2 things. The premiers and the name of the team that broke the Cats 29 home game winning streak.
I believe that in 5 years time (or after our next Premiership win) when they look at a game that was a turning point in winning that Grand Final and it will be this game.
The experience the younger guys gained today could not be measured. You could not have paid a 100 motivational speakers to achieve the psychological impact that was achieved today.
I remember how rotten I felt after the Swans 23 home game streak came to an end at the hands of St Kilda. It would be a lot worse for the Cats fans tonight.
Not only did those Cats fans today endure a loss that was only just short of a grand final loss but the main destroyer of their team was a player that was on their list and they let go. The other one is a young Geelong Falcons player that was from their home town. Excuse whilst I run for a hanky............
Outstanding performance by Nick Smith today. We normally get flogged by Johnson. The turn of speed that young Nick put on to chase down Chappy. It was Rohanesque. I didn't believe my son when he said it was Nick and rewound the game to check.
Jesse played more like Tarzan than Jane today. Dropped three catchable kicks in front of goal but I was very happy with his performance. His second efforts and chasing today was probably career best for him.In memory of my little Staffy - Dicey, 17.06.2005 to 1.12.2011- I'll miss you mate.Comment

Lots of odds people on here.

Just back from the pub down the road, where I contentedly lapped up Cooper's and returned drunk with joy.
I haven't yet read the thread but the input was so evenly spread that you'd want to vote for about 8 people in the TLM. Mummy was magnificent, Josh K was outstanding, the Red Rover was everywhere, Rhyce extended his fine run of form with a great game, Teddy turned off the Jpod, Alex J had maybe his best game so far, Spangus was humungus, and where do you stop - Jude was his usual hard self, Jack was quick and solid, Parker more than justified his selection, Jesse stood up and repeatedly contributed even when he wasn't marking and kicking, Meredith was good and what a fine sub Birdy made. All this without mentioning Adam and Sammy.
They played for each other, backed up in attack and defence and finally overran a genuine quality team. Game of the year so far, a wonderful win.
And perhaps the best is that we can even improve on that.He reminds him of the guys, close-set, slow, and never rattled, who were play-makers on the team. (John Updike, seeing Josh Kennedy in a crystal ball)Comment

A few of those dropped marks there were opposition fists in there. Definitely saving his skin.Comment

I'm not sure whether it was Dunstall that made the comment that the younger Swans players were alot bigger bnodied now and were not getting out muscled by the Cats.
How good was "Jude" Parker today? What a find.
Meredith did quite well in his 3rd game of the season. Would have been great for Gordon to be there with the team even if it was on the sidelines. In memory of my little Staffy - Dicey, 17.06.2005 to 1.12.2011- I'll miss you mate.Comment

How important to the context of the game was that "goal" that became a point after the conference. It was Taigh that touched the ball.In memory of my little Staffy - Dicey, 17.06.2005 to 1.12.2011- I'll miss you mate.Comment
