        Shame Amon isn't playing.

They didn't waste time in dropping Power.

Hawks set new record for outs this week.
In memory of my little Staffy - Dicey, 17.06.2005 to 1.12.2011- I'll miss you mate.

Is it because of its reputation as a small ground so they can't lose him as easily?

Hopefully the Lions bring Monty to Sydney as an emergency, the Lions Reserves are not in the finals of the NEAFL so he doesn't have any commitments there.

Not sure Voss has a sentimental streak in him at all. Poor Monty. Would be nice to see him at the ground though, you're right ugg.

I think it's fantastic that Jarrad is back. He's shown tremendous moral courage and real leadership throughout the tragic saga with his daughter. It's genuinely inspiring.

He wasn't dropped, his retirement was immediate at his own wishes.

I can see Tadhg as the sub this week. Game well in hand and bring him on 5 mins into the last quarter to a huge cheer for a final fling in his final game.

Seemed to be one injury after another at the Lions. At least he can say he kicked a premiership-winning goal.

It's also Hall's final game for the Dogs, so a passing-out parade for our 2005 champions this weekend.

FTFY. I've concluded that calling the umps by name only encourages them to impose themselves unnecessarily on the game. A faceless number is all this particular one deserves.

They've picked Barlow at CHB and Vez will be on the bench. How well are they going?

Great idea. Numbers they should be. OPSM No 18 has a nice ring to it.

If the Swans play well and kick lots of goals then he shouldn't be an issue.

                              NO CHANGE.

If Macca is upto playing then Meredith will make way.

I'm just glad there is some form of structure in the forward line at the moment. We've cried out for it in one form or another and I think we have some resemblance of a stable forward line now. Reid/White/Spangher (Goodes at times) with Parker and Rohan sniffing around amongst others. With kids like Chops Lamb due for some more game time next year suddenly we are starting to look more stable up front. Hopefully Jesse and Spang continue to build and we might just begin to put somre more scoreboard pressure on. As has been mentioned already I would really like to see one of Sam or Jesse kick 4 or 5 this weekend, take some strong leading marks and slot it through.

It seems that our intensity inside 50 with regards to pressure has improved as well with Gary up front, Spang throwing himself at everything and Jesse showing some toe as well. It's crucial we lock the ball in because over the last few months we were starting to get burnt real bad by teams on the rebound. We were still probably a little fortunate last week at times when the Cats players fumbled and stumbled their way through some lost opportunities.

I'm liking it though - loving Benny Mac's attack on the ball last week as well. Because of his size he was copping highs left, right and centre. A bit more time out of the middle for Ben and we could be getting some good clean ball delivered more often to the guys up front.

Can't wait for tomorrow and looking forward to week 1. Would dearly love a Week 1 Final in Sydney I must admit. Carn the Bloods!
