Amon, possibly my favourite Swan in both GF's,well he is a Lion now and moved on. He can't make the best 22 and who he used to play for is irrelevant from the Lions perspective of trying to field their best team and salvage some pride from the season.. Its unfortunate for the Swans fans but really why should Voss care?
You think Brisbane greatly gained from putting Bradshaw up for trade and then Bradshaw's subsequent resignation, which was then followed by a complete culture failure at the club that saw them then lose not one, but two players to Gold Coast and eventually sack the train wreck they went after in the first place? They have also spent two years at the bottom of the ladder!! They could have retired a premiership hero this year, instead they sacked an idiot.

As for Amon, if he is retiring, and Brisbane have nothing riding on the game, why wouldn't you give him a run? If he is an emergency, he is surely in the mix and Amon is one player that would know the SCG a bit!!

Voss's mistake was Fevola pure and simple. We hung ROK out for offers during the offseason or at least supported him.We could have easily seen him play for some other team.Does that make Longmire stupid? No way! I think Bevan was the same ,both premiership players .there was also Schneider,Dempster,Jolly who moved on.It happens in all clubs. The guys are adults and some want to move on.

To go for Fevola was his major mistake !

Putting a club leader up for trade was stupid, the culture of a club can be fragile and what they did was very silly with Bradshaw, he found out during trade week that this was a possibility, yes it all comes back to the Fev decision, but far out, there are much smarter ways of doing things. The examples you have there from the Swans, well O'Keefe and Jolly wanted to go, simply couldn't find O'Keefe a home, the interestesting ones were Scheinds and Dempster but they were managed very differently and were never going to cause a serious issue within our playing group, neither were leaders.

Agree trades are all part of the game, but using a leader of your club as tradebait, a leader who lived and breathed being a lion without even discussing his future with him before it was offered to Carlton was one of the stupider things in football I have ever seen. I would argue his trade caused bigger problems with splits in the player group at Brisbane than Fev did in the first year!
