Yeah that crowd on Sat was a little dissapointing, i'd have to say well done to every swans supporter that made it though. Our supporter number were great for a game against the Saints at Etihad. Clearly out numbered, but a large presence, and loud too. Hope to see the same at the G on friday. Getting just a little excited.

The only reason apart from form to omit a player in September is fitness. Resting to have him better for next week (which may not come) is not an option.Comment

I'd say predictable, given how the press pushed the.." this is going to be a dour stoppage fest" line.Whenever you find yourself on the side of the majority, it's time to pause and reflect... MTComment

You'd reckon with only 1 final in Melb this weekend that you could draw close to 70K, but I guess the 'no Buddy' factor may keep a few of the neutrals away.
As for last week, 4 finals all in Melb was probably the reason the crowd was disappointing and as ernie rightly points out, our game was probably seen, certainly promoted by the press, as the most unattractive to watch from a neutrals point of view.Driver of the Dan Hannebery bandwagon....all aboard. 4th April 09Comment

Franklin did an early, private training session at Waverley this morning before joining the main group in their session at the MCG later in the morning.
Wearing black lycra leggings, the star forward ran, jumped and appeared to move freely and kicked with confidence at both ends of the ground.
"We will name him in the squad and at this point we're confident he will play," coach Alastair Clarkson said.Comment

They'll give buddy right up until the last minute, they have to considering its a cut throat game. Im no doctor but he could not possibly be 100% fit though, roosy said on SEN this morning that is at least a 1-2 week injury and can be debilitating.Comment

Best option is that they play him and he either underperforms radically with his injury, providing a void up forward that they keep kicking to or they have to use there sub early to sub him out.
... or Teddy + LRT have a screamer and shut him down ... which the Melbourne Media will blame on his injury and not the skill of our players.Comment

They won't risk him if there is any chance of it flaring up and causing a LTI. If he plays we can use his injury as a point of weakness. I don't mind the mind games, whatever happens, happens.
BTW, has anyone worked out who is umpiring our game? *Pleasedontletitberaypleasedontletitberay*Comment

I'd prefer it if buddy doesn't play but ultimately the game will be won in the midfield - this is a day where we need all of our midfielders to tackle and harrass and spoil and win the ball and etc etc...
if we win the midfield I think we'll go pretty close and if we dont it probably wont matter too much who playsComment

Yeah I agree unfortuneately, in such a crucial do or die game I think it is a huge risk taking him in, I dont think there will be any changes though.Comment

You gotta be joking.
He cannot possibly be anywhere near 100% even if he does play and it may knock any complacency we may have had, although I doubt we would have had any.
Ted is in career best form, I'll back him in to handle a one legged Buddy.Driver of the Dan Hannebery bandwagon....all aboard. 4th April 09Comment
