From the cheeky look on his face I wouldn't be surprised to see NicMal come in somewhere.

If you're right, then presumably for Bird, and hopefully allowing for Parker to start.

I want him to play regardless, I don't think it's likely to be problem enough to justify not playing him- but I don't think it was that crazy a thing to ponder.
        He'd be sub before resting.

He's got the whole off season to rest.

I would doubt it. Not from Glandular Fever.
I reckon he might be gone from the season.

Grundy would be gone for the season.

Its been a few decades since I had it but I did have whooping cough 2 years ago and that takes 6 months to recover even if you're very fit when you get it.

At least with GF, once you've had it you don't get it again but not so with whooping cough.
In memory of my little Staffy - Dicey, 17.06.2005 to 1.12.2011- I'll miss you mate.

Grundy is training today - see photo 2 in the Swans Facebook album:

                    Training September 14

The caption reads: "Heath Grundy out training with the team today. John said he's unlikely to play this weekend but could be in contention for next week if we have a game."

AFL's Patrick Keane on his Twitter account. Blues/Eagles sold out - Hawks/Swans 39,300+ sold already.

I think Hanners would try to play even if he was missing both legs. He's as tough as they come that kid!

Hawthorn are supposed to have 56,224 members, so if you add on all our Melbourne members, the crowd should be at least in the vicinity of 65,000.

It will depend on walk-ups in the MCC area most likely - fickle bunch they are. I reckon it'll be 50k-55k, considering how many St Kilda fans and members there are and that game still only bought 39K to Etihad.
