Have we discovered a way yet that Ed and Jarred Moore could swap bodies?????

Ed's football skills and Bulldogs body would be great to watch.

He could take a good mark, not a bad sot at goal but so bloody inconsistent. He had pace but more often than not he overran the ball. He didn't have footy smarts and wasn't a natural footballer, a leftover of the time when clubs all wanted athletes not footballers. I like footballers quite frankly at least they know instinctively how to play. So yes Al you are quite right.

Mark Robinson named him among the best players of the round twice at one point, so perhaps the two of us inhabit an alternate universe.

I had to ask but has Ed actually been delisted? He hasn't appeared on any list that I've seen and I think the person who said he'd been delisted was referring to an article where it said the Bulldogs had only retained 1 rookie and it wasn't Barlow. Ed was playing as a nominated rookie hence his games at senior level and as far as I know is still on their list. He showed miles more than Patty Vez did at any stage this year.

                Shame.
I'm glad it wasn't only me that wondered a bit about this - one game in particular I watched he was even worse for the bulldogs then he was for us. Great athlete, rubbish footballer who couldn't think 1 step in front in terms of a game of footy, let alone the 3 or 4 you need to suceed in the AFL.

I have been watching a few of 2010's games (late night, lousy tv, can't sleep, no footy) and I cannot bear to hear that some of the mob don't rate Doggy. He showed so much, made quick accurate decisions and reactions that resulted in goals for US. His body appears to be letting down his footy brain and quick reaction. He is already running, so I am hoping he bashes the door down to be let in.

I look back and think of how little I rated Macca once. I blush. So with luck on his side Jared Moore (seems weird calling him that!) may rise up the acceptability rankings too.

Love him. But to slow now for afl. If you havn't got pace there is not much you can do about it

Unless there are injuries there won't be a place for Bulldog in the team. As much as I admire the work he's done with the kids in the reserves I just can't see who he would replace in the seniors.

Of course if he can find another couple of yards of pace then maybe he can knock that door down. Primms is 100% right about his footy smarts so adding a bit more pace to that would be fantastic for the club.

I agree definitely has footy smarts & knows how to find a way out of difficult situations. Has great strength in the upper body & hips and shrugs players off. It is just the pace that is worrying. But having said that Greg Williams got the same tag when he played early on SLOW but look what he ended up. If he can compensate for the lack of pace with smarts & skill there might just be a role for him. Unfortunately, ha has the smarts but I don't think he has that level of skill.

There was nothing wrong with his speed/pace when he was haring down the field to score the last minute winner against Port a season back. This constant harping on about his "pace" is a myth, quite frankly. Head to head against Craig Bird anyone?

He's been working with Matt Shirvington to work on his pace so the club and Bulldog don't think it's a myth.

I've seen a lot of bulldog this year and he's a metre or two behind where he needs to be. With his footy smarts he doesn't need to be express but he can't be as slow as he is.

I agree with Al I also have seen a bit of him and he needs a yard or two to make the grade.

He's like a 30 year old ute, once he gets going he's okay, by no means the quickest. The problem is, it takes a looooong time to hit top speed. He looks like he's towing a trailor when he takes off.
