The coaching staff don't think it is a myth. And yes if Bird can get a spot in the team next year (big if) then that would be the spot that Bulldog would have to target.

Can't afford two at that pace in the team.

All ok against the lower teams but against the top 4 teams just to slow. And It is a waist of time if we can't beat them.

I reckon his lack of possessions/stats are his problem. From where I sit he goes where the ball aint. Sure he has had the odd cameo in his career, but in my humble opinion he is not up to it. I think he was indeed fortunate that there were a few below him in the pecking order.

Bevo hasn't nominated for the ND. GWS have spoken with his manager, so do we assume he goes there via the PSD, or is game over for him?

According to this Davis' future still in limbo
Bevan has nominated for the ND

Then we have this cryptic comment from the master of guile K.Sheedy

"I wouldn't say we're not interested in Bevan," Sheedy said.

Where is there a list of all players who have nominated for the draft this week?

              Seems Barlow hasn't nominated.

I can't find the list. Not on the AFL site so it must be a secret. Couldn't find it on google search.

I don't think it is a secret so much as it is a very very long list, mostly filled with names that we will never hear of again.

Once a player has nominated, his nominated stays active for 3 years. So a player appearing not to nominate probably just means that they didn't need to, because their previous nomination is still active. Barlow, for instance, would have nominated last year since he was drafted in the rookie draft by the Dogs. So he doesn't need to lodge a new application.

I did wonder about the specific mention of Ablett nominating but it could have been because he was taken under some GC concession last year that technically meant he didn't need to nominate for the draft. His original nomination (from when he was first recruited to Geelong) would have expired -hence the need for him to nominate again. (Though who on earth he thinks is going to pick him, given his history, is anyone's guess.)

After nine years, Swan's unwanted flag winner seeks a new home

Poor Bevo. I really hope he gets picked up.
To all those people who waited 72 years to see a South Melbourne/Sydney Swans premiership HERE IT IS!!

I reckon he's a good chance of going to GWS with a late pick.
He'd be a good fit for them for the next few years.
For starters he's a local from a league family.
He'd be the classic foil to the list of skinny, athletic, talented kids they'll have. ie Limited talent, not very athletic but...
He's courageous, and will provide them with some much needed muscle, aggression, and tackling prowess.

GWS would be foolish not to pick up Bevo with a later pick.....

While I've never been a fan of Bevan , I too hope that GWS pick him up. What he brings to the table would benefit them greatly considering all the talented but physically immature kids they will have.

Just heard Sheedy on SEN saying they dont plan to take a mature player at this draft.
