    Farewell Bevo

Bevo - you certainly belonged to that school of tough, uncompromising players who gave their all for the club. Loved the hardness you gave the club. And thank you very much for the Premiership. It's sad to see another Premiership player leave. I hope you have great success with what's next in your life. Without you and Kirky the club will definitely be saving on the bandage budget.

    Thanks mate.

Footy's a tough business, I hope someone picks him up and uses him as a rough hardnut forward for a few years.

I can't put into words exactly why, but Bevan was my favourite player.

I loved his toughness and tenacity. His courage was second to none.

You will be missed. Thanks for the blood and the service.

Well said. Bevo set a standard that some of the fringe players should be striving for. To cut him loose would not have been an easy decision.

I hope your footy career is not yet over.

A wedding, a new club and a new bowl of pasta!
              Good luck Bevo.
I still think that free kick they paid against you to Reiwoldt in 2005 in the PF was WOEFUL umpiring.

He signed my Herald Sun poster at the SCG on the Sunday in 2005. He's a premiership player and they've been thin on the ground in recent decades. I'd like to see him nominate for the PSD and I wish him all the best if he does. But I can't see it happening - not may of the blokes we've cut have gone on to resurrect their careers - another nod to our list management. I see him an other NOG or Monty - premiership players both who passed their use-by date. Brutal business sometimes...

As Much as I hope that he finds a new home it doesn't look likely. If his manager could have found a deal during trade week then I'm sure the Swans would have arranged a trade for a late pick, even for one that we wouldn't be using, to help him on his way

Big hug Bevo. Loved your work. Some of that going back with the flight of the ball was just brilliant. Will always be a Premiership Player for the Sydney Swans.

Thanks Bevo, heart is what made you, you never gave less than 100% and I respected you above nearly all of our players due to this over the past 5-6 years.

Best of luck to the only man I have seen tackle 2 blokes at the same time!
