Sorry to see it end like this, and I hope he finds another club (I think he'd be a good pickup for GWS). Thanks for always giving 100% Bevo and being a tough nut - and if nothing else at this time remember that you have what so few players have but all want to achieve - a Premiership.

Paul . tell you manager to get off his arse and find you another club !
You are too tough and too young be lost to the AFL.Those softies at Melbourne could do with you on board.

It still rankles that , after such a fine game in the finals v Carlton last year , you were dropped next week for the Dogs game.
That may not have been the only factor in our loss , but I am certain it was one of them.

Farewell Paul. You gave your all in the many different roles you were asked to play for the club. I am sorry to see you go. Thanks for everything.

Thanks Paul and all the best for the future, whether in football or elsewhere.
He reminds him of the guys, close-set, slow, and never rattled, who were play-makers on the team. (John Updike, seeing Josh Kennedy in a crystal ball)

Cheers Bevo! That time you tackled two opposition players at the same time because you didn't know which one had the ball is one of my favourite moments on a footy field.
Officially on the Reid and Sumner bandwagon!

I was a fan and hope the footy gods give a few more games, GWS?? by the way of a late pick..

Thanks for the hard work and good luck to you.

My wife and I met his mum prior to a game at "Telstra Stadium" (well it was then) a few years back, and she told us part of his story and the efforts to play the game. She was very proud of what he had done and the efforts to get there. Well done young fellow and I send my personnel best wishes to you and all the best in the next part of your life!

Really sad to see you go Bevo, 100% Bloods spirit and always a favourite of mine for the sheer tenacity on the field and the sheer tenacity to become an AFL player.

You are a Premiership player and there's only 22 of them from 2005 so that makes you special.

Good luck with whatever you are going to do from here, that tenacity of spirit will stand you in great stead.

Players like Bevo have embodied so much about what I've loved about the Swans over the last decade or so - whilst plenty have questioned his skills and footy smarts (unfairly at times IMHO), no one could doubt his hardness, his toughness and his courage at the ball. Good luck for your future - there are a few clubs around that could do with a dose of what you still have to offer over the next few years...

I think he should have played against Hawthorn in the semi final, a bit more hardness is what we needed.

                    All the best Bevo.

Bevo, sorry to see you go. You showed great heart when ever you played. Can't work out how you can kick 4 goals in your last match for the club against Carlton in last years finals yet not get another game. Don't know if you have been carrying and injury if not I hope you get picked up by another club. Thanks for your efforts with the Swans and all the best in the future.

                      Cheers...

Well done Paul, there was never any doubt you always tried your heart out every time you went onto the field for the swans

No doubt a great clubman, who always gave his all.

Did he not play a senior game this year?? Anyway, all the best bevo the hard decision had to be made unfortuneately. Here's hoping you get another chance at AFL level.

IMHO there is no better example of what the Swans/Bloods ethos has stood for over the last decade. Tough hard player who gave his all. Very sad that decisions like this have to be made.

Well done Bevo, loved your work.

I am sure that GWS will pay big money for players that will offer much less in terms of setting an example to the talented young players they will draft.

Nice rap for Bevo by Jude on Twitter.

Wishing Paul Bevan all the best in the future. One of the hardest blokes I have played with. Only knows 100% - everything he does.
For someone seen as mostly defensive, he also kicked a few good goals. Nailed a few tough ones last year (2010) I recall. Good luck to him.
