Bevan used to be one of my favourite players based on his hardness at the ball. Reminded me a little of Paul Kelly's disregard for self preservation.

He'd always reminded me of the sadly overlooked Wade Chapman. An earlier version of the Jude Bolton "Looks like Jane Plays like Tarzan" expectation confounding type. Bevo was the same. Belonged in "Cabaret" - angelic face but a bastard of an attitude. I still think he was incredibly unlucky to be delisted after having played a cracker of a final and coming of age - it was pretty cruel.
