GWS disposal by hand was generally accurate, seemed better than ours. We looked as if we were on a damp ground, they looked as if it was dry. GwS also looked as if they had some real talent, along with speed and height; they could be a force in a season or so, and could cause a few upsets this year.
Several seemed only running at half power: Goodes, Everitt, Reid and Malceski come to mind. Encouraging show from Jetta, Macca, Parker, Bird, JPK, Jack, Mummy, Rohan, McGlynn, Bolton and Johnson. Others worked hard: LRT, Mattner (despite the odd clanger), Nick Smith.
We'll need to lift for Freo.
    Good, level-headed summary.

i guess you could say we get that game out fo the way, ahve the break re-focus on the dockers..
you have to remember i guess we didn't get a break from the NAB..but at least we get that expectation that we are suppose to beat them by 10-15-20 goals out of the way and have a break..
dockers will be a good game for us to get the next part of the season under way./

Definitely seen better from the Swans but agree with goswannie - it's round 1. We don't come out of the blocks that quickly. I'd rate this game a par.

I'm surprised it took Horse so long to play Cunningham.

Parker continues to show promise. Everitt had a shocker but something tells me there's potential yet. He made a ton of mistakes but there were a few there that would have been sheer brilliance if executed.

Our backline outclassed our forward line. What a great start to 2012 for Teddy. Such a solid defender for us.

After a horrific kick to McVeigh in the 1st, Jetta really stepped up after that. I think they need to work on his body strength just a tiny bit.

The atmosphere at the ground was terrible. It was like watching an exhibition match in another country. Really quiet and the crowd seemed unsure about whether they were actually interested in the game.
Captain, I am detecting large quantities of win in this sector

To be out scored in the last Qtr and only kick 1 goal against a team that will finish on or near the bottom of the ladder is a very week effort.

Half time I turned over to SBS and watched Rockwiz, back in time for the last quarter so I missed the good bit. I thought Jetta was betta and Hanners should have stayed home.
I'm wondering if Rohan has the body to play AFL or if he's just a bit of a sook?

                  Kennedy BOG?

Richards, Johnson and Bolton were ahead of him.

It is a waste of time playing LRT forward. He is nothing but a straight ahead backman.

We had 3 talls in LRT, Reid and Everitt. All slow. Where were the smalls when the ball hit the ground.

I Thought GWS were far more fierce at the footy than we were.

but remember Richards and Johnson had no one to play on. Their opponents were down the other end clagging up our forward line. Bolton had 12, JPK had 27.

I worry about Rohan's propensity to injure himself but thought he ran the game out well despite his injuries. His endeavour is unquestionable and I hope he continues to improve.
I forgot to mention Parker who also managed to play well despite being concussed early.
It's not easy to play AFL after you've been pretty much knocked out. Well done Gaz and Luke.

A bit of a sook? He hurt his shoulder @@@@@@ his ankle and got KO'd. He was running around for a good 20 minutes with his shoulder limp before the bump where he came off for it.

Watched it with another random swans man ( at a party, lucky to find one ) , we were both pretty disgusted with how we played. Margin aside, we played like crap tonight. Serve that up against port, we lose
