    Everitt and LRT

How are we even going to be a top 8 contender with everitt and lrt in the forward line? they offer nothing apart from presence..we need a true forward line geez put morton in their even if his pre season hasnt been that good. we need a much better structure..
LRT. Lord Roberts-Thompson. He may look like the Munster, but looks can be deceiving.

      Agree 100%

Longmire has learnt nothing from some of his most glaring errors from last year

When he's not dropping marks (if he remembers to actually raise his arms), fumbling, or missing sitters from 5 metres Everitt's squibbing a contest.

LRT is a key back or he's in the reserves. He's hopeless up forward and ordinary in the ruck.

Everitt seems outclassed in AFL, I know he's young, but how much longer do we wait for him to improve? LRT is a back man all day long & occasional ruck man only; not a permanent # 2

Everitt also makes ordinary mistakes in the forward 50.... i hope he picks it up soon, he's playing for a spot every week now....

I can tell you one thing i am sick of us gifting games to average players. everitt and LRT do not cut it so they should not deserve to play. do you think they would fit into a geeong or collingwood? the reason duds are overshadowed in our team is because we are a TEAM. we dont have one base of players who carry the team. we have key players in every position on the ground and the duds are made to look good. time to cut our losses with some.

I thought LRT was Ok tonight. He at least provides a contest. Everitt was disappointing., He lacks composure.
The reality is that we need a 2nd ruckman who can play forward.
This player needs to be either LRT, Pyke, White or Seaby.
LRT could also play as a backman against sides that have a tall forward line.

              Our options are limited.

We also need a tall mobile forward to take some pressure off Reid.
This is either Everitt, Spangher, Walsh or possibly Morton.

These are the options the selectors are working with and they are not great options but hopefully a couple of these players will put their hand up.

I can assure you that Walsh and Morton weren't much better in the reserves as attackers today. White had a much better game and TDL is the other forgotten man

Lets face it Everitt, White, Morton, Tdl, Moore, Walsh, Seaby, and Pyke are all very average footballers. I doesn't matter which ones of them you put in they're never going to amount to much. I'm reserving judgement on Spanger and LRT should play Full back.

I agree, but who are their replacements? Horse isn't an idiot; if he had a quality forward sitting in the ressies asking to be picked he'd be the first one rolling out the red carpet to seniors.

It's the reserve players responsibility to push for selection. Dan Hannebery wasn't gifted his first AFL game; he earned it. Harry Cunnigham wasn't all those NAB cup games or his debut tonight; he worked bloody hard for it.

If you have ever seen morton at his best you would know that he isn't average. Same with TDL i can still not see why he isn't playing in the seniors.

Agree its a bit of a mystery but there must be a reason.

Must be attitude or something because i cannot see the reason why he isn't. I also think lamb might be coming into the side shortly not sure for who though.

His chasing wasn't it? They gave him a game late last year and he was pretty bad. Didn't hear a peep from TDL supporters the rest of the season. BRING BACK THE SPANG. Underrated contributer, yet going by our form desperately in want of.

Morton's been terrible in the preseason. Have I been watching a different side? His chasing is also pretty lackluster so if TDL is supposedly kept out of the side for this reason then I can't see why Morton should receive a free pass
