Well you can bet money that if Ted or Reg go down injured whatever, LRT will be straight into the backline. I don't understand the criticism of his game, I would suppose that he is doing exactly what Horse told him to, provide a contest and draw a tall defender, what, do we expect him to be Barry Hall suddenly????? I assume Pyke or Seaby or White will get tried as a 3rd tall at some stage of the year, but as has been said, they need to earn it. I agree with the general tone about Everitt, he's just not up to the standard required. I thought Hanners looked underdone, I believe he only had the one game in the NAB, after off season surgery he would have had a bit of a late start to the season. Guys will get their shot at seniors when they earn it, but I don't understand him sticking with Everitt

I thought LRT played pretty well. He's a good kick, he always provides a contest - he did seem to be filling in where our small forwards weren't when the ball came to ground.
Having said that, I think he is one of our best defenders and is only having to play out of position because he missed a big chunk of last year and the back-line got very settled.Comment

One can only imagine what BT would have said if Pyke was in the teamComment

LRT offered the same as Pyke, White and maybe Seaby could up forward, but they (especially Pyke and Seaby) can offer a lot more in the ruck. Wouldn't it be common sense to play some one who has equal ability as a forward but is far more serviceable as second ruck? But Horse would have his reasons I suppose, not that I know them.
Everitt kinda gets to the right spots but just can't catch or gets shrugged out of the contest far to easily. Last season they dropped TDL after a pretty soft game and poor tackling but Everitt tackles pretty much the same, just flopping his arms out and when he does get hold of someone he doesn't do anything to bring them down.I See It But I Don't Believe It!!!!Comment

The reason TDL didn't play much last year is because the world saw him badly pull out of a couple of contests. He can toughen up as much as he can, but if he keeps the habits of taking "short steps" or taking a big look before deciding not to go to a contest, there is no place for him in Aussie Rules. Never has been and never will be a place for those traits in our game.Comment

I actually thought LRT looked moire assured than I have ever seen him last night. Everitt was ordinary.Does God believe in Atheists?Comment
