He's pretty wonderful, isn't he? I'm rather impressed with the young fellow.
I knew him as a gentle young man, I cannot say for sure the reasons for his decline
We watched him fade before our very eyes, and years before his time

Lacks the guns to make him "Stella-worthy" but give him a year or two!
          He is quality.

Russell Barwick the SEN correspondent in Sydney said today that he was told by Dew that ROK was a certainty to play. Also intimated that Shaw will also line up. Both trained well yesterday.

Dont understand the logic in rushing ROK back ( if he is indeed named to ply ) We cant afford to carry players who may not be fully right to go. Surely a run In the reserves first for a guy who hasn't played a competitive game all year ( i think ) would be the way to go.

To be fair I think ROK of all people would be right to go with limited game preparation. Lots of seasons under his belt and from what I recall he completed almost all of the pre-season before the injury, so his fitness probably won't be much of a worry.

Frankly I think the alternatives available wouldn't be capable of performing better that 'underdone ROK' anyway.

I'm just having flashbacks of Kennely playing under done last year........If the standard of round 1 continues in round 2 an underdone veteran man struggle to find the pace required. He may be fine too but I think you can get bitten giving players a gold pass back into the side.

+1. Hanners a case in point against GWS. Could have used a hit-out in the two's perhaps?

If Shaw and ROK don't come up I reckon Harry will play.

LRT has been playing crap, he is no forward and no ruckman, so that's exactly where we play him. Playing defensive forwards is all well and good in this garbage style we seem to be playing but how are we EVER going to kick a score against a good side if we don't start playing a few natural forwards. One of Morton/Lamb/TDL needs to be in there to find space in the forward line (an art we are lacking) take some of the heat off Reid and KICK SOME BLOODY GOALS...I think kicking 1 -12 in, was it, 40 minutes against a team of rookies says a lot about our forward prospects this year. I also detected 'zone fever' during the Giants game with players sometimes running away from the ball to zone off, that is a real worry, Richmond and Carlton did that for years...and got wooden spoons for their trouble.

I always turn to the sports pages first, which record people's accomplishments. The front page has nothing but man's failures......Earl Warren

It stuns me you know that this site during the off season was so bullish about our prospects this year and now after one game we have people pushing the panic button.

Can we at least wait until we start our season before we start getting worried.

I haven't underestimated how good the lad is, he is VERY good! But I still think Rohan is the match and is talented enough to carry it off.
