Harf was just discussing the Rohan incident on SEN and the question they had was whether or not Lindsay Thomas had the ball first when his feet hit Gaz. Either way, it broke a leg.
I think the game was fantastic, but whenever I replayed bits of it in my head last night I couldnt get Rohan's image out of it, so I have been pretty down about the game.
A couple of things I noticed:
Although Everitt's game was his best yet, I am sooo frustrated at how he spills even chest marks. As has already been pointed out, he must have the slipperiest hands in football - he even has trouble picking the ball up off the ground.
I was surprised at how much ROK has slowed down this year - both he and White had the turning circle of the QE2
I thought Shaw was the unsung hero of the day. To see Harvey get frustrated was great to watch. I also thought Kizza had a brilliant first half and hardly anyone has mentioned him.
I also put my vote in for Rohan as a future FF. Without ever mentioning that I have said this before on RWO (see what I did there?) I think he has the leap, the hands and the pace to burn off a lot of full backs. The only thing he would need to learn is body positioning, however other teams wouldnt put a gorilla on him because of his pace.
I also think that, although Jesse and Dre had their best games in a while for us, they were hardly game-breaking performances. I think that they come from a pretty low base of expectations, so we were happy with their performances.
I also have to say that I am excited by what I have read about Walsh in the last 2 weeks.
