Forget about big bodies, we need more leg speed to keep up with teams like Richmond. The most worrying thing about that loss is the injures that might come out of it. Parker, Hanners both looked off. We just don't have the depth in the ressies to cover any more major outs. Last weeks game must have taken more out of the boys than I thought. TDL should have started and probably will next week, Everitt gave us bugger all, but most of our better players were well held anyway. So, on to next week i supposeYou can't argue with a sick mind - Joe WalshComment

We lose to one of our bunny teams at home, then the very next week lose at our bunny ground...what's up doc?Comment

Thoughts on the train back
Bird is amongst the worst players I have seen at Sydney. Cannot run slow Useless, not an AFL standard player
Seaby looks tired. Give Pyke a run
Mcglynn is too inconsistent. Next year I hope Cunningham goes past him
Reid looks like he is laboring and needs a rest
Backline was awesome considering the pressure they were under
Interesting to see selection for next week. Longmire has two losses to base changes onYou don't ban those who supported your opponent, you make them wallow in their loserdom by covering your victory! You sit them in the front row. You give them a hat! Toby ZieglerComment

Nothing like a good light bulb moment.Comment

he laid a tackle chased and did everything asked of him stop being a nitpicker. There are a few other players that deserve much more acrimony for this loss!!!Comment

Richmond were up for the game and I don't know why we were not - but is was pretty obvious by our first quarter effort that we were not ready for the tigers pressure - not sure what we expected - when sides pressure us our skills let us down badly same old story - it's not coaching it's more about onfield leadership and tonight it was'nt there - how long before Mumford is back ?Comment

..And the Swans are the Premiers...The Ultimate Team...The Ultimate Warriors. They have overcome the highly fancied Hawks in brilliant style. Sydney the 2012 Premiers - Gerard Whately ABC

On the other hand, TDL can at least lead and mark and kick goals. I'd back him for another go next week. Agree that Seaby needs a rest and Everitt just doesn't give enough. I'd go with Seaby, Everitt out and Pyke with either Morton/Walsh in.Comment

McVeigh - Soft
Everitt - Soft
White - MIA
Malceski - pathetic under any pressure
Reid - playing injured
McGlynn - Completely out of form
We need a captain that will lead by example. McVeigh is not that.
TDL must pay next week. He offered something completely different for our forward line, which hasn't functioned correctly for weeks.
Bottom line is, you cannot give any team a lead that big and expect to win.
We need to start our matches with a bit more passion.Ed Considine's day out - Round 3, 16th April 1995.
11 Kicks, 13 Handballs, 8 Marks, 1 Goal, 1 Behind, 1 Tackle, 1 Hitout, 3 Brownlow votes (his only votes)

Despite my criticism of his backwards run I would give him a second chance, if he does it again, he will never make the grade.
Agree on the restComment

I am still seething and frankly pissed off after another inept performance against that a team that no matter what the love in from the Melbourne media will say, have progressed very little from last year. We were just crap - no analysis is needed of who was good, who was bad blah blah blah - we were just crap!
A game we could not afford to drop, and we need to seriously pull our finger out over the next month or our good start to the season will quickly be rendered wasted."You get the feeling that like Monty Python's Black Knight, the Swans would regard amputation as merely a flesh wound."Comment
