I certainly wasn't having a go at you, or picking u apart. Although I have to say I know the feeling. Those things happen in AA teams, Goodes got picked in a forward pocket I think, and Kell was picked on the bench (well, that's a long time ago, not sure about that) It's pretty normal to get picked out of position in an AA team. I turned that off after the Jack interview, wasn't aware of any picks AA picks by them or the reasons for it. The ABC is not what I would classify as Melbourne media, they are actually pretty unbiased, which I've stated on here b4

He was asked about those in an interview before the Bulldogs game. His response was "they look less blue on-line!". I'm not sure they are a long-term choice.Comment

If anyone's gotten ansty its you. Jetta's exceptional speed is used on the wing going forward. That doesn't make him a 'small forward'. He's a midfielder and it is disingenuous to suggest that anything he does is remotely similar to Cyril. There are very different in their gamestyles with only their evasiveness and speed in common. There is really no need to compare the two.
Jetta is the top scoring midfielder in the league. He may be smaller in stature, but to associate him as one of the 'scoring little men in the league' is bizarre which was the point many of us were making. If Dan Hannebery had Jetta's goal tally do you really think he would be considered a small forward?
Get a grip. Nobody was being paranoid or trying to be a smartarse. It was just a factually incorrect statement that we all picked up on.
"Twenty-seven goals at the halfway point for a small forward, wingman is a terrific effort."
It seems his coach thinks he is small, a forward and a wingman. He ate more cheese, than time allowedComment

Is this thread about Ted or Jetts??!!
Anyway, Ted DOES deserve his own thread. He's going brilliantly this year and is clearly unaffected by his burgeoning media profile as author of The Richards Report. I like the earlier poster's reference to his relationship with Reg too. Maybe they're our own Felix and Oscar?Today's a draft of your epitaphComment

If u go back and watch teh replay, Ted, Reg and AJ were playing centre to HF in teh 2nd q. With the forward press working, traditonal roles are not what they were. Any of our mids cld be considered a forward, such is the way teh game is played now.You can't argue with a sick mind - Joe WalshComment

Mid season AA selection. Where the hell is Ted?He reminds him of the guys, close-set, slow, and never rattled, who were play-makers on the team. (John Updike, seeing Josh Kennedy in a crystal ball)Comment
