You know, if Malthouse had been coaching the Swans, I somehow think our hoodoo against Collingwood would either never have happened, or been cut short years ago.

Now, the following is what a mate of mine wrote to me...he is a Crows fan...who lives in Sydney...this was his reaction to Micks article. I have tried to censor the grammar...hope it stays up....'cos it really makes sense!!!!....

Yeah, well the thing about this **** is his articles dont have 'readers comments', almost never.

The AFL draw is completely organised to maximise the MONEY for Melbourne teams, its not about
equality, or a fair chance for all, its just about Melbourne teams, Collingwood, Essendon and Carlton
        in particular.
He wrote an article earlier in the year, saying Collingwood had a very tough draw. 5 games out of Melbourne?.
        that was comedy gold.

What does the PR**** suggest Sydney and Adelaide do, lose a couple of games, because poor Micky doesn't think
        its fair.

The DRAW is a blight on the game Dennis, its a laughing stock of a competition really. If there was a royal commission
on the DRAW and the way its set up for Victorian teams, the AFL would be in jail.

Another thing, they did a survey, the huge one they do every year. They have released only bits of it, because the results show
how @@@@@@@*d off people really are.
Question.. Is Demetriou doing a good job? Resounding answer....NO he's a fat lying Greek **** of a man. They can?t possibly
do a PR Spin on that.

I love footy Dennis, otherwise I wouldn't bother. I so hope Adelaide or the Swans kick Collingwood out. @@@@@@@ them.

The 2 teams who really do it tough, are Fremantle and West Coast, bad enough as it is, they make both of them play in Launceston
        every @@@@@@@ing year.

I'll give you $50 when Collingwood/Hawthorn/Essendon/Carlton play on the Gold Coast, or Skoda Stadium, or Darwin, or Launceston, or Hobart
or Adelaide ( twice in a year ) or Perth (twice in a year ).

The AFL is Sportatainment. Thats all.

Your team or mine, I dont care. Even Geelong, any team outside Melbourne. @@@@@@@ em'

You can see i was angry when I read that as well.

        Cheers

Malthouse demonstrated - quite early in his tenure as coach of Collingwood - that he understood our game plan, and how to defeat it.

He understood why we were vulnerable to certain tactics, and would have been able to make suitable adjustments.

I cannot understand why Swans supporters should be happy with Malthouses' comments. If other sides do not want to treat us as contenders, well that is fine by me. Do so at your own peril.

The cold hard reality of Saturday night was we had more scoring shots, we made too may errors, we had a six day turn around, if you win 9 in a row, if can eventually get to you both physically and mentally. Goodsey is a champ and will not have too many shockers like against Collingwood. Hannabery who I consider a good player, played his worse game for the year and probably gave away two gaols. I think they was lots of upside to our performance and we are a really big chance in September. The only thing that worries me is injuries. Our depth is a bit thin.

Your friend makes an awful lot of sense, people like Malthouse and most of the Melbourne football fraternity only look at things from a Vic perception, the interstate teams have the hardest draw of all.

If we can't win it this year I'd be very, very happy to see the Crows do it.

I'm not fussed who wins it as long as the Pies, Crows, Hawks, Eagles, Cats, Kangaroos, Bombers, Blues, Dockers and Saints don't.

He is a grumpy bitter old man!

I don't understand how our draw has been easy. Of the bottom teams the only one we have played twice is GWS and we know why that is. The only other lower team we play twice is the bulldogs and we haven't played them yet. We only play Gold Coast, Melbourne, Port Adelaide and Brisbane once. We have beaten all the top 8 sides apart from Collingwood and Adelaide.

Collingwood have lost to the Hawks twice and Carlton twice so what makes them more deserving to be on top of the ladder?
