Putting aside what you would have to pay for him, why would anyone not want Goddard?
Because I think his best may be behind him now.

Only 27, fresh start might be good for him. Might not recapture his 2010 finals form but I still think he'd be more than handy.

Thought Shaw was a mistake. Best footy behind him, dickhead, etc ....Worked out ok. Better than ok.

Bloody oath, if he got a bit inspired and committed he would be fantastic, The 2010 finals stand in my mind as to what he would bring to the table.

I have never noticed Moloney play so really shouldn't comment but Neeld's assessment of him, as to why they let him go is not too encouraging - along the lines of him not being able to adapt to changes in style of football now being played.

This makes me think of Malceski who seems locked into bombing the ball straight ahead along the flank or long into the forward line, mostly these days to congestion - so very predictable! Does he look to see if Jets is free on the opposite flank or Shaw? Not necessarily bagging Mal - he could be playing to instruction.

But for my mind whoever we bring in, if already 28/29, he needs to have something pretty special to add to tne team. If Moloney came into the midfield along with, hopefully, Mitchell, who is going to get the chop? McGlynn, Bird, Parks, Bolton? I would rather see Parks, especially playing like he did at the beginning of the season, given the spot.

Moloney - struggles at VFL level. Should have been improving his game style there, but didn't.

That's why he is on the way out.

It was with Jesinta Campbell and James O'Connor during last week. Page 32 of last Sunday's Sun Herald.

Elvis was at the next table with Michael J. Previously seen hanging around Double Bay with Michael H.

The football judgement is not the best then. Next player on list please.

That was 2011. He has had a poor year in the VFL in 2012. How many did he poll in the Liston Trophy? So we expect him to recapture his 2011 form and produce a 19 vote Brownlow year. I'll have $20 with you that doesn't happen wherever he plays. Like a racehorse can pull out one great run of their life, so too can an AFL player pull out "a" season to remember. Footy history is littered with them.

You want me to take even money on him polling 19+ Brownlow votes again? No thanks.

I don't follow the VFL closely enough to know how he polled in the Liston. How much of it do you watch? He played 15 games for Melbourne so he didn't have a poor 'year' in the VFL. What I do know is that he wouldn't be the number one midfielder at our club. You bang on about how bad we are out of the centre - here's a bloke who can help that.

I'm not saying he's a star but midfield depth is what it's all about these days and I think he could potentially help us in that area.

In a team that polled how many brown low votes in total? 22?
