Just read grarmy's signature and had a laugh. Kind of links with the paragraph!

        What a great ride!!
4am start to get plane to Melbourne on Friday morning. Soaked up the atmosphere and enjoyed the parade.
Wanted to be at the G when the gates opened and get the most out of the GF experience. The game was a blur. Skyping with my daughter who was watching in UK near the end when it was tight was nearly heart stopping. I was also there in 05 and 06 but somehow this one to me was even better than 05. Can?t say why, maybe because of the hideous Hawks supporters behind me or probably because of the extra 7 years of emotional investment put into this great club. Singing with my friends and all the other supporters around was joyous. My voice still hasn?t recovered properly.
Up early to Lakeside oval, got a couple of good pics but don?t know how to post them.
Flew back to Sydney Sunday night, got home at 11pm and watched it again. Monday, had family and friends over for a post grand final barbeque and watched it again and now sitting down to watch the pre game stuff and no doubt the game again. Did anyone else notice how the Swans came out of the race fired up and focused at the start of the game compared to how the Hawks ambled out like they were going for a stroll?
To top it all off I have booked my tix for the Club champion dinner. Have always wanted to go but thought this year would be a great one to start on.
Thanks Swans? The 2012 journey has been amazing.

I knew we were in for a good day, when the Hawk mascot knocked Cyggy to the ground. He responded with a bit of push and shove culminating with Cyggy ripping the Hawks head off!! A good start to the Game!!

Work was pretty good today with everyone stopping me and talking about the game - which was a chore but I managed somehow

Had our usual GF day with everyone piled into our games room. Had the front of the house and the games room decked out in red and white.
Most of our guests were going for the Swans. Had a couple of in-laws who decided to take the p... um, mickey and go for the Hawks. When Malceski kicked that final goal, I was jumping up and down screaming. Then my bestie (a Carlton supporter) and I counted down until the final siren and I even had her screaming for the Swans. Either that or she was screaming coz she tipped the Swans by 10 pts and won the money in our sweepstakes??!

I think some of our friends know all the words to Cheer Cheer the red and the white. I sang it loud enough and often enough!
I might have a slight drinking problem. My husband asked me to toast some bread for him...so I raised my wine glass and said "Here's to bread!"

Great trip to Corowa on the weekend, made even better with the swans win. The people up there are very proud of John Longmire and so am I.

PS. If you ever get the chance, make your way to the Tungamah Hotel. What a great place. The owner is Peter Chisnell, who played in the 1976 Nth Melb premiership team and was absolutely wrapped the swans won. He is no fan of the hawks, so quite a few beers were consumed.

I was getting anxious too, and was keen to grab one of the 2 lovely young ladies sitting next to Annie.
I'm sure their dad wouldn't have approved.

Speaking of tattoos, although nice idea Scott, wouldn't mind a memento that was a little subtler. Any (sensible) artistes around?

There hasn't been this much sporting euphoria about Sydney's Grand Final win since the Sydney Olympics.
