They knew each other before coming to the AFL, played basketball together and both are guys that were transplanted to the Gold Coast as kids and came through Southport. That'd give you some degree of comfort coming as a guy you've got some history with, if it wasn't that he'd been caught up in your mess... it probably wouldn't help, as well, that at one point he'd probably thought he had a chance to further his career but it fell through as part of the whole mess and then you've turned up anyway and, basically, play the same position and are guaranteed a start over him.

Jesse seems like a pretty easy going cat, and I'm sure will go out of his way to help Kurt feel at home- but if I was Kurt I would kind of being thinking "well, this is awkward" first time I hung out with him.

We really do know. Jessie does not have the 'it' to make it at AFL level. He has the athleticism but not the smarts. Pity.
