Last paragraph of article today says club will be discussing 4 year contract as early as next month.
We were speculating about the switch from a 4 to a 2 year contract a few hundred posts ago. It'll be interesting to see what gets announced about the contract extension, will the hyperthetical handshake agreement between the DK and the Swans hold up better than the one between him and the Crows?

Like all our recent name full forwards, there will be some qualifications in my affection for DK, just as there was for Capper, Lockett and Hall. However, welcome to the Swans!

They still can't let it go here in Crowland.

This mornings Adelaide Advertiser has a full colour back page of Tippett in his Swans guernsey at yesterdays pre training with the caption in big letters

      "Now I'm home"

Even the editor has had enough with a small piece in the editorial telling fans that Tippett is now a Swan and now is the time to finally let go.

I really hope he turns it on as a Swan, they'll being spewing in Adelaide :-)

He should get rid of the mullet.
We're not in Adelaide any more.
Wild speculation, unsubstantiated rumours, silly jokes and opposition delight in another's failures is what makes an internet forum fun.

          Tippett!!

It's not a mullet. Taylor Walker, Ivan Maric, they are mullets. Tippett, not a mullet.

KT has made a good decision on many levels to go to Sydney.I seriously doubt it was just a crass commercial decision as some crow eaters have suggested.Firstly Sydney needs a KPP at FF. He will be very welcome. The sheer discipline of Sydney where being accountable at all times will do wonders for KT as a player. Look at how Morton changed from a flashy selfish but highly talented player to a disciplined player ,accountable for his man and always ready to hand off the ball to someone in better position.Leaving the fish bowl of Adelaide will be a humbling experience also and realising that AFL is not the only game in town and so many Sydney siders will not have a clue who he is.To play in a team where there are so many good role models must surely rub off on KT. Swans style or "blood culture" if you like, will involve a learning curve for KT but could change him from a handy forward to a great FF. How exciting for us supporters to watch this happen and isn't it nice that we are NOT like Adelaide. Well done to all those who made this happen!

              Couldn't agree more.

As KT himself said yesterday he believed that Sydney was the place for him to play his best football and all those things you mentioned about the Reigning Premiers would have been considered.
..And the Swans are the Premiers...The Ultimate Team...The Ultimate Warriors. They have overcome the highly fancied Hawks in brilliant style. Sydney the 2012 Premiers - Gerard Whately ABC

I'm all for people trying to make an effort at entertainment themselves, and technology has presented every increasing methods to try to do it- and Kurt presents as a good target (just like on the field come round 13!) and I have no issue with someone taking a swipe at the situation. That said, I thought that was really poor- childish writing, badly executed and poorly produced. David would hate the shaky camera work, too.
I knew him as a gentle young man, I cannot say for sure the reasons for his decline
We watched him fade before our very eyes, and years before his time

Must agree. The concept has legs, but that effort missed the mark by a fair way...

It's a transition style. Either moving on from something or moving on to something else.

Just like a few of us do between eateries at Skoda Stadium. Yummy I can't wait for the chips and kebabs next season. Now you know the real reason for attending GWS games.

Back to the subject at hand... I dropped by the training session this morning. I think Tippett will be just fine. He has clearly not been taking it easy in his time off - looks very fit - and he seemed just as much a part of the group as any of the boys. Encouraging pats on the back and general banter. Macca was stirring him up about something and telling him he was "embarrassing" getting plenty of laughs all round. They had him doing running drills with another one of the newbies - Jake Lloyd - who is probably about 6 foot but looks tiny next to KT - so seem to be treating him just the same as all the other recruits.

                          PS - No mullet.

I should have scanned your post so I didn't have to read all that crap before getting to the important part at the end.

I was impressed at how well he spoke at the post-training presser. I agree that it looks like he'll fit in well.

I read his blog, and was quite surprised by how eloquent he was. Not what I expected at all.
