Although I don't like Walker I feel sorry for any player who is injured. Did anyone else hear Eddie Mcquiire's shot about Sydney' COLA? Surely as a commentator at a specific game it is not his job to critisize another club's situation like that. If someone else did that regarding Collingwood we would never hear the end of it.

Yes I did hear that. It was typical intellectual dishonesty from McGuire, he knows it's rubbish but he says it anyway to curry favour with his bogan constituency and to continue his pernicious campaign against the CoLA. It is based on nothing more than the desire to ensure that measures to equalise the competition are abandoned, because then the colossal advantages enjoyed by Collingwood can be fully exploited.Comment

2 years ago, when Collingwood were constantly beating us, the COLA was fair in his eyes...All it took was one PF loss and he's done a 180.
He also went on to say that Tippett should stay well clear of Adelaide, due to Walkers injury riling up the locals anger towards him even more....Like it's somehow Tippetts fault.
Also suggesting Mark Richutto would be first in line to have go at him......Just disgraceful, mischievous , inaccurate, mud slinging.

Never heard Eddie say that it was fair.
He's always been anti in my recollection. The difference between insanity and genius is measured only in success.Comment

Even if you buy into the idea that we only have Kurt because of the COLA, you can't say that Adelaide would still have him if it was taken away. It was pretty clear he was keen to go, he would have just been at one of the other clubs in the AFL (other than Adelaide) if he wasn't here.I knew him as a gentle young man, I cannot say for sure the reasons for his decline
We watched him fade before our very eyes, and years before his timeComment

He went on to say , he could now see why the Swans were afforded a cost of living allowance....That's a far cry from his present stance.Whenever you find yourself on the side of the majority, it's time to pause and reflect... MTComment

Not suggesting Walker and Jesse are like for like, but I can't help but think had things gone to plan last November, Jesse would be in Adelaide's 22 next weekend.Silence is golden

He's taken plenty of flak over the past 6 months. Some maybe fair enough, but most not.
No doubt that'll intensify as his return gets near.
Hopefully he doesn't go into his shell in those early games.
I want him to play with a chip on his shoulder, and stick it up his detractors.Whenever you find yourself on the side of the majority, it's time to pause and reflect... MTComment

Hope Sammy can hang in there and keep upping his contributions as KTT (Kurt Tippett Time) nears. As plenty have said previously, things will look so much better for Sam with a bigger body up forward with him and I think it'll be a win-win for both of them.Comment
