I'm glad the love is flowing back to RWO since I've been away. Certainly leaving me with a warm fuzzy.

We have gone 41 pages and nearly 500 posts BUT has anyone mentioned that a month before the finals, there was serious talk about KT's career ending due to concussion? Perhaps it was all staged. Another conspiracy theory to ponder.

That should be the only concern, not guessing who goes.

Clubs call foul over 'archaic' Sydney rule

This seems to again raise the possibility of the "understanding" between Tippett and the crows. Tomorrow (today even) should be interesting.

Might get Tippett and have concession reduced or phased out. Who knows ?

FMD. Honestly every man and his dog has come out last week and over this weekend to have a crack at our club, the value of our premiership and the integrity of our list management. I'm @@@@ing sick of it. We just won a premiership. We are on the verge of signing a quality KPF who wants to come to our club. Piss off with your jealous, catty, slandering bull@@@@ and come back when you have some facts.

If Colless or Ireland don't release a strong media statement tomorrow I will be very disappointed.

This club was shat all over many times over our history. Other clubs have picked off us like vultures, circling us like a carcass so that could steal a bevy of talented players for next to nothing. They've tried to kill us twice, abandoned us in Sydney and finally, finally after all of that we built ourselves up into a strong club, a respected club, but one that has to still fight hard to survive.

I'm done with being disrespected by other clubs. Put up or shut up - don't cry to the media because we won a premiership you thought you had in the bag from the preseason or becasue one of your players wants to leave your club.

Brissy's president was the most reasonable, most balanced and most understanding.

Richard Colless extracted a public - if not overly enthusiastic - agreement from Eddie McGuire on his recent appearance on EMT that Eddie agrees the COL allowance is necessary.

I also read Ireland quoted in an article today about how the salary cap allowance is spread across all players (and that they voluntarily also pay it to rookies).

I also expect that the Swans got some kind of tacit agreement from the Commission that the allowance would stay for the meanwhile when GWS was introduced,

Clubs should be focussing on how the Swans have managed to pull together a premiership side while paying a considerable sum under their salary cap. Rather than whinging, they should be talking to the managers of Everitt, TDL, Lamb etc, seeing if they maybe can't find the next Mumford or Kennedy languishing on our list. Fortunately for us they won't - they'll just keep on blowing off steam.

I thought I'd go an do some research on what information is available about the relative cost of living between Melbourne and Sydney.

Melbourne is 7% cheaper than Sydney :: Cost of Living Comparison

Think Melbourne is expensive? You're right

As one of the naysayers I will say our forward line structure changed for the finals and changed for the good, with a big dollop of Goodes and Jetta form reversal thrown in.

We should feel fortunate that quality players want to play for the Sydney Swans. In the 1980's and 1990's, so many players couldn't wait to leave Sydney after serving out the first term of their contract. Gaspar, Anthony Rocca and so on. Between 1990 and 2000 we've had about as many top 10 draft picks leave to play for another club as the Suns currently have on their list.

It's good that we're now taken seriously enough that Tippett and Moloney want to come to play for a good side.

Has poise beyond his years, has good size ( will muscle up in time) pace, and performs under pressure. I have no doubt he is potentially an AA defender. No way would the swans let him go. He is absolutely off the table.
No, I didn't watch the grand final, I watched grass grow instead

To get Tippett, we all agree that we need to give up quality. AJ is quality, I like the guy and his GF was great. However, I feel Grundy offers much more.

Do I want to trade AJ? No of course I don't. However if we have to trade a premiership player for Tippett then I believe it should be him.

No way you'd trade AJ ahead of Grundy. I'd rather we keep both, but AJ is much younger and arguably already better than Grundy.

                                Rubbish.

Grundy was ahead of AJ in the B&F.

He is also played on the oppositions better forwards.
