It's the 'side tracks' I worry about....some of them have large potholes and very strange road rules that don't make sense.....they being some of your posts Barry.

I see Kurt is still doing stuff with the club.....or at least was back in September this year.

I wonder whether he will loose his number 8 as he will not be playing, he should go to # 80 ore something.

                Tippett!!

Seeing some are getting desperate to keep this thread rolling along - in more recent news Kurt married his Super netball partner Chloe and has had a baby son (Will) with her. Will should have inherited elite sporting genes - so will probably become an accountant [emoji1787].

Anyway not helpful to us as Kurt played +100 games for the Crows, but only around 80 for us as a result of his wretched run with injuries.

Anyway congratulations and best wishes to Kurt & Chloe. A whole new chapter in their lives as opened.

Mind you, you wouldn’t know any of this looking at Kurt’s Instagram account. He clearly is a very private guy.

James Rowbottom got number 8. Tippett listed as number 0 on Swans app and not listed at all on Swans website. I suspect in time he will also disappear from the app.

                    Accountant!
If Kurt and Chloe stay in Sydney we will surely see Will in the Academy!
He reminds him of the guys, close-set, slow, and never rattled, who were play-makers on the team. (John Updike, seeing Josh Kennedy in a crystal ball)

We need to get something back for our huge long term investment in the big guy!

Kurt @ 202, Chloe a netballer, thinking future ruckman for us via the Academy, if Academies are still ok with Eddie in 2035!

Could have posted this in the ‘what are past players doing’ thread - but just to ensure this thread doesn’t die ....

“Recently retired Sydney Swans star Kurt Tippett headed out in style at his first State Titles sporting the blue and white quartered cap of the hallowed foundation surf club from Australia’s most iconic beach.

The 2019 NSW Surf Life Saving Championships proudly supported by Your local club is currently running through until Sunday 10 March at Swansea Belmont SLSC, Lake Macquarie.’

                            Tippett!!

I just checked the results of the above-mentioned surfing comp. Kurt not only won his individual event (1200 30-34 Male Surf Race) his team, Bondi Surf Bathers LSC, won the relevant team comp. (110 yrs min. Male Surf Team).

He comes across as a genuinely nice guy with a great attitude. It’s such a shame that his body struggled to handle the rigours of AFL as he could have madek such a difference for us if he had stayed fit and on the park consistently.
