Saw Tippett at Bondi Junction on the weekend, so he's clearly staying in town - had slimmed down remarkably, I reckon 10 kgs from his playing weight already.

Tippett said in that interview video on Swans site that he would be staying in Sydney and one thing he had planned was to finish some studies he was part way through.

I'm a bit shocked by that.....I thought Gretel's form was Diamonds worthy. Her basketball past makes her a real weapon. PS: As recently declared in this thread, posts on Tip's sister are encouraged, anything to keep the Tippett thread going......for old times sake. PPS: ....and there's 444 pages!!

In all seriousness, can Tippett un-retire? Has he been officially removed from our list?

He did the right team thing to create cap relief for the next 2 years by retiring.

But given Sam?s misfortune, we could use Tippett now!

How many years has Sam got on his contract?

We?d do far better recruiting ready made ruckmen than developing them (only to see them fail or leave for better opportunities)

My point is, he was in our list when was finalised for 2018. His salary has to be included this year any way. Has he already been removed from the list permanently? Or can he reneg on the retirement for 12 months if he has a change of heart (like Barry Round did once - and I know it?s a different era, but he?s my example - it?s not like Plugger retiring and then being re-dradted). We don?t have no ruckmen left. But Sink has ankle problems. Aliir has some injury problems. Sam Reid has a history of injuries. If any number of the pinch hitters break down, the cupboard is getting a bit thin.
