I think we should trade Kennedy back to Hawthorn for Buddy...

I'd love the Swans to put that in a press release on April 1.

You're right... Ana might go with him and THAT would be a disaster.

Too right. Goes against a well-known policy.
He reminds him of the guys, close-set, slow, and never rattled, who were play-makers on the team. (John Updike, seeing Josh Kennedy in a crystal ball)

My sentiment too. Tippett seems as though he will fit in nicely.

I'm not sure that Buddy is such a bad bloke though. He could well have bought into the Bloods culture. If he could achieve a little technical improvement and kick straighter when the blow-torch is on, he would be on the road to immortalism as a player, IMHO. He's a big bugger who takes a good grab.

You'd have to think though that if the whole 283-page saga had a different outcome (i.e. Tippett did not end up at Sydney), there would have at least been a conversation between The Swans' people and Buddy's people.

But alas. It is all speculation. We got Tippett instead and his potential is Buddy-ish.

And for nothing apart from a 10 week enforced holiday.

This has got me thinking: whose grand final goalkicking was worse - Buddy's or Mickey O's?

Little chance, or need, to make a play now we have Tippo, but I can only shake my head at people who would not take Buddy.

We spoke about how players are seen differently when we spoke about Mitch Robinson, a couple of people thought he seemed a decent bloke, I think he's a prize knob.

I don't see Buddy as a dickhead at all and really don't find him any more arrogant then he deserves to be. He's an absolutely awesome player.

Might be an idea to reserve judgment on Buddy until the change to the AFL's drugs policy has come into effect...

Presumably these are people that fast forward thru the third qr of the GF every time they watch it.

I have concerns about his extra curricula activities.

In my case it's the other three qrtrs that are the concern.

I also do not think he is a dickhead, I just don't think the size of his head is a good fit. But then we probably all said the same with Plugger....although he could kick straight.
